* Revert "SMF: Create New UVBWLIST Partition"Ilya Smirnov2019-03-051-5/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This reverts commit 9de9d8f7c5b5c73247dc69925a594fcd07ce060c. The logic for passing the XSCOM white/blacklist to Ultravisor will change drastically. The change in logic makes the UVBWLIST partition unneeded. This commit reverts all changes associated with UVBWLIST partition. * Method to execute testcases early in the bootDan Crowell2019-02-283-4/+14
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | A new CONFIG variable has been created that will trigger the istep dispatcher to start the CXX unit test execution at some point during the boot rather than waiting until the end. This is useful for quick targeted testing and also for early bringup of new platforms. CONFIG_EARLY_TESTCASES is the new flag, and it uses ATTR_EARLY_TESTCASES_ISTEP to determine where in the boot to stop. Changes were required in several testcases to either skip the test completely (typically due to not having enough memory) or to add additional logic to load new support libraries on demand. The Axone platform has this flag enabled by default to execute testcases at the end of istep 6.9 (host_gard). * Secureboot: Enhanced Multinode Comm: Master NodeIlya Smirnov2019-02-201-6/+10
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This commit introduces the logic to create the master node nodecomm request to the slave nodes and logic to process the responses from the slave nodes. The data from the slave nodes (the slave quote) is hashed and extended into PCR1. The binary quote blob is also included in the TPM log as a log message. Additional changes: the logic to relocate the TPM log to increase its size, and the logic to allow uint8_t* instead of char* as the TPM log message. * OCC active notification for NVDIMM protectionMatt Derksen2019-01-241-2/+62
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | TMGT needs to let PHYP know when the NVDIMMs are protected by the OCC. This protection happens when the OCCs are in active state. When the OCC goes active, TMGT will send a msg via HWSV->MBOX to HBRT. HBRT will then notify PHYP of the OCC protection status of the NVDIMMs. Change-Id: Id23ab8020bd76941adcac76279cc46106dc2b1b2 RTC:201290 Reviewed-on: http://rchgit01.rchland.ibm.com/gerrit1/69577 Tested-by: Jenkins Server <pfd-jenkins+hostboot@us.ibm.com> Tested-by: Jenkins OP Build CI <op-jenkins+hostboot@us.ibm.com> Tested-by: Jenkins OP HW <op-hw-jenkins+hostboot@us.ibm.com> Tested-by: FSP CI Jenkins <fsp-CI-jenkins+hostboot@us.ibm.com> Reviewed-by: Christian R. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The OCC is responsible for detecting the EPOW signal and triggering the save operation on the NVDIMM. Therefore, if the OCC is not running we are unprotected from a poweroff event. PHYP needs to inform the LPARs using the NV (non-volatile) memory of this state so they can behave accordingly. HBRT is responsible for telling PHYP when we get into this state. There are two ways we can detect this state: a) HBRT explicitly puts the PM complex into reset b) PRD detects a specific FIR bit The message should include this data: - what state we are in (protected or unprotected) - which processor is affected Work for this story will include: - Definition of the new message - Creating a utility function to send the message - Calling utility function to send 'unprotected' message inside of all pm reset paths at runtime Change-Id: Ib015d001d47883a247faedabedb0705ba0f1b215 RTC:201181 Reviewed-on: http://rchgit01.rchland.ibm.com/gerrit1/68870 Reviewed-by: Christian R. As part of this change, the previous MEMD support was refactored to be completely generic so a single code path can be used for any arbitrary record. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Node0 VPD memory is being used for all nodes because we were using a Singleton pointer across modules. This is a problem because static memory is specific to each module which meant we were getting a new copy of the AttrRP object instead of the real version that had real data in it. The change here is to create a new static interface that external modules can call to retrieve the node associated with a given Target. There is also a change to cache this data into a map as I noticed hundreds of accesses during the one function call I was using to test with. * Centaur Channel Checkstop (runtime)Rick Ward2018-06-051-1/+221
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This story covers when a DMI channel gets checkstopped at runtime and how to service the subsequent SCOM operations that PRD requests to diagnose the issue. At runtime, PRD makes all of its SCOM requests to HBRT which passes them on to PHYP for in-band access. The checkstop blocks in-band access, so HBRT must fail-over to messaging the FSP to do FSI accesses. To reduce the number of SCOM calls to the FSP, HBRT makes a "multi-SCOM read" call for all the common SCOMs that PRD will request after a checkstop, and caches the results. Two new calls (MBOX, generic messaging interface) to the FSP were added in a previous commit to allow FSI SCOM operations through the FSP: - MSG_SINGLE_SCOM_OP - MSG_MULTI_SCOM_OP Also, a new map, chnlFailScomList, was added in a previous commit. chnlFailScomList contains a list of target types and associated SCOM addresses that PRD is likely want to read after a checkstop. PRD is responsible for maintaining the contents. Change the logic from applying speculative deconfiguration one by one to applying all predictive gard records and then removing those records if minimal hardware is not available. Also add BLOCK_SPEC_DECONFIG attribute to flag when speculative deconfiguration is not allowed. This flag is set if minimum hardware is not available and is cleared after a hardware change. * Hook up FSP runtime support for sbe_retry_handler (hreset path)Christian Geddes2018-04-091-12/+8
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | In the sbe_retry_handler code we have two methods we can use to restart the sbe. They are restarting the cfam boot sequence (start_cbs HWP) and performing a hw reset on the PPE (hreset HWP). We use start_cbs if there are issues with initial power on of the slave proc's SBE because we will not lose any state info (fabric isn't up yet). During runtime we will want to use the hreset HWP to recover the SBE. Hreset is handy because it will not force a reboot of the entire proc chip, so the fabric can stay up while we reset the PPE in the SBE. This commit implements the code path for the hreset HWP in the sbe_retry_handler. In addition this commit enables calls to the sbe_retry_handler in rt_fwnotify's sbeAttemptRecovery function which handles PHYP requests to recover the SBE.
