* Delete complextype fields in attributes if they have no valueDan Crowell2019-03-061-0/+10
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The targeting binary build will fail if it sees an attribute with a complex type that has a field with an empty value tag. However if the field isn't present at all, we properly fill in the default value from our xml metadata files. This change will delete any field that is found to have an empty value. * Add interface to look up model type of master processor on targetServiceChristian Geddes2019-03-052-3/+51
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | While going through IPL flow updates for Axone I realized it would be handy to have a targetService utility function that told us what MODEL we are running hostboot for. This commit introduced the interface TargetService::getProcessorModel() which will return the model of the master processor. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This reverts commit 9de9d8f7c5b5c73247dc69925a594fcd07ce060c. The logic for passing the XSCOM white/blacklist to Ultravisor will change drastically. The change in logic makes the UVBWLIST partition unneeded. This commit reverts all changes associated with UVBWLIST partition. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The function PARTIAL_GOOD::findRulesForTarget() would call masterProcChipTargetHandle() to figure out if a rule applied to a specific target based on the ATTR_MODEL of a system. Since finding the master proc that way is an expensive operation, findRulesForTarget() will now use an instance variable initialized once instead of querying for it repeatedly thereby increasing performance substantially. * Method to execute testcases early in the bootDan Crowell2019-02-2816-18/+234
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | A new CONFIG variable has been created that will trigger the istep dispatcher to start the CXX unit test execution at some point during the boot rather than waiting until the end. This is useful for quick targeted testing and also for early bringup of new platforms. CONFIG_EARLY_TESTCASES is the new flag, and it uses ATTR_EARLY_TESTCASES_ISTEP to determine where in the boot to stop. Changes were required in several testcases to either skip the test completely (typically due to not having enough memory) or to add additional logic to load new support libraries on demand. The Axone platform has this flag enabled by default to execute testcases at the end of istep 6.9 (host_gard). * Secureboot: Enhanced Multinode Comm: Add size of quote & signature to slv quoteIlya Smirnov2019-02-262-1/+5
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This commit adds the size of the quote and signature fields returned from the TPM as part of enhanced multinode comm to the generated slave quote. This will make it easier to process the slave quote for remote attestation. * Move watchdog timer to prevent timeoutMatthew Raybuck2019-02-265-19/+58
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The watchdog used to be set in istepdispatcher.C but due to various changes to PNOR that would cause a watchdog timeout. This commit moves the watchdog out of impiext code and into impibase which allows the watchdog to be setup as soon as the ipmi resource provider comes up. Then once the code reaches istepdispatcher the watchdog is adjusted as needed.
