* package/systemd: Remove SYSTEMD_COMPAT optionMaxime Hadjinlian2016-07-021-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | Since v230 of systemd, the compat libraries have been fully removed. https://github.com/systemd/systemd/commit/4de282cf9324ab13d17ac334244d0d7cae2df37d Signed-off-by: Maxime Hadjinlian <maxime.hadjinlian@gmail.com> [Thomas: rewrap Config.in help text in Config.in.legacy and put the option at the right place.] Signed-off-by: Thomas Petazzoni <thomas.petazzoni@free-electrons.com>
* dbus: enable systemd supportEric Le Bihan2014-07-151-0/+1
| | | | | | | | Enable systemd support if systemd is selected as init system (require systemd compatibility libraries). Signed-off-by: Eric Le Bihan <eric.le.bihan.dev@free.fr> Signed-off-by: Thomas Petazzoni <thomas.petazzoni@free-electrons.com>
* dbus: bump to version 1.8.4Baruch Siach2014-06-181-22/+1
| | | | | | | | Upstream removed support for libxml2 as xml backend, select expat unconditionally. Signed-off-by: Baruch Siach <baruch@tkos.co.il> Signed-off-by: Peter Korsgaard <peter@korsgaard.com>
* Config.in files: use if/endif instead of 'depends on' for main symbolThomas De Schampheleire2013-12-251-1/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | In the Config.in file of package foo, it often happens that there are other symbols besides BR2_PACKAGE_FOO. Typically, these symbols only make sense when foo itself is enabled. There are two ways to express this: with depends on BR2_PACKAGE_FOO in each extra symbol, or with if BR2_PACKAGE_FOO ... endif around the entire set of extra symbols. The if/endif approach avoids the repetition of 'depends on' statements on multiple symbols, so this is clearly preferred. But even when there is only one extra symbol, if/endif is a more logical choice: - it is future-proof for when extra symbols are added - it allows to have just one strategy instead of two (less confusion) This patch modifies the Config.in files accordingly. * Config.in files: add missing dependencies to toolchain option commentsThomas De Schampheleire2013-11-101-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | When a package A depends on config option B and toolchain option C, then the comment that is given when C is not fulfilled should also depend on B. For example: config BR2_PACKAGE_A depends on BR2_B depends on BR2_LARGEFILE depends on BR2_WCHAR comment "A needs a toolchain w/ largefile, wchar" depends on !BR2_LARGEFILE || !BR2_WCHAR This comment should actually be: comment "A needs a toolchain w/ largefile, wchar" depends on BR2_B depends on !BR2_LARGEFILE || !BR2_WCHAR or if possible (typically when B is a package config option declared in that same Config.in file): if BR2_B comment "A needs a toolchain w/ largefile, wchar" depends on !BR2_LARGEFILE || !BR2_WCHAR [other config options depending on B] endif Otherwise, the comment would be visible even though the other dependencies are not met. This patch adds such missing dependencies, and changes existing such dependencies from depends on BR2_BASE_DEP && !BR2_TOOLCHAIN_USES_GLIBC to depends on BR2_BASE_DEP depends on !BR2_TOOLCHAIN_USES_GLIBC so that (positive) base dependencies are separate from the (negative) toolchain dependencies. This strategy makes it easier to write such comments (because one can simply copy the base dependency from the actual package config option), but also avoids complex and long boolean expressions. * Config.in files: unify comments of toolchain option dependenciesThomas De Schampheleire2013-10-141-1/+1
| | | | | | | | This patch lines up the comments in Config.in files that clarify which toolchain options the package depends on. Signed-off-by: Thomas De Schampheleire <thomas.de.schampheleire@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Peter Korsgaard <peter@korsgaard.com>
* dbus: uses fork(), requires MMUThomas Petazzoni2012-11-171-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | In order to solve http://autobuild.buildroot.org/results/34f6843137efda20626af72714c110280ec577d7/build-end.log, this patch makes the D-Bus package as well as all the packages that select the D-Bus package 'depends on BR2_USE_MMU'. In addition, for the specific case of gvfs, the missing BR2_TOOLCHAIN_HAS_THREADS dependency is added (threads are required by D-Bus, so they are also required by gvfs which selects D-Bus). * dbus: requires thread supportThomas Petazzoni2012-07-251-0/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | As can be seen on the build result at http://autobuild.buildroot.org/results/20f1078ef7dc5f187b04c63ef70e8b43acf9bb3a/build-end.log, D-Bus requires thread support in the toolchain. This commit adjusts the Kconfig dependencies of D-Bus and all its reverse dependencies to depend on thread support in the toolchain. * dbus: make it easier to select an XML library (select rather than depends on)Arnout Vandecappelle (Essensium/Mind)2012-01-311-7/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | D-Bus requires an XML library, expat or libxml2. There already is a choice between them in the config menu, but it requires the user to first select one of the libraries, and then select dbus. With this patch, the choice automatically selects the XML library. Note that this removes the automatic choice of libxml2 for dbus if libxml2 had already been selected, i.e. in that case both libxml2 and expat will be selected unless the user takes action. An alternative would be to remove the choice completely, and to take the path of bluez-utils: select BR2_PACKAGE_EXPAT if !BR2_PACKAGE_DBUS_LIBXML2 Signed-off-by: Arnout Vandecappelle (Essensium/Mind) <arnout@mind.be> Signed-off-by: Peter Korsgaard <jacmet@sunsite.dk>
* dbus: prefer expat if available even if libxml2 also isPeter Korsgaard2009-09-271-1/+1
| | | | | | | dbus-glib needs dbus to be compiled with expat support, so prefer that mode even if libxml2 is also enabled. Signed-off-by: Peter Korsgaard <jacmet@sunsite.dk>
* pkgconfig: add pkgconfig package for targetPeter Korsgaard2009-03-181-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | The host versions shouldn't be visible in Kconfig, so remove the reference to BR2_PACKAGE_PKGCONFIG everywhere and prefix the host targets with host-. At the same time add pkgconfig for the target (E.G. for development) and let BR2_PACKAGE_PKGCONFIG control that package. Notice: all defconfigs in the tree have been updated, but make sure to disable the pkgconfig package (unless you want it) if you use an external config, otherwise you'll end up with pkgconfig and glib2 in the target.
* Kconfig: remove 'default n'Peter Korsgaard2008-07-171-1/+0
