* ALSA: hwdep: Allow to assign the given parentTakashi Iwai2014-02-251-0/+1
| | | | | | | | Just like PCM, allow hwdep to be assigned to a different parent device than the card. It'll be used for the HD-audio codec device in the later patches. Signed-off-by: Takashi Iwai <tiwai@suse.de>
* ALSA: Create sysfs attribute files via groupsTakashi Iwai2014-02-251-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | Instead of calling each time device_create_file(), create the groups of sysfs attribute files at once in a normal way. Add a new helper function, snd_get_device(), to return the associated device object, so that we can handle the sysfs addition locally. Since the sysfs file addition is done differently now, snd_add_device_sysfs_file() helper function is removed. Signed-off-by: Takashi Iwai <tiwai@suse.de>
* ALSA: Drop unused name argument in snd_register_oss_device()Takashi Iwai2014-02-121-1/+0
| | | | | | | The last argument, name, of snd_oss_register_device() is nowhere referred in the function in the current code. Let's drop it. Signed-off-by: Takashi Iwai <tiwai@suse.de>

* [ALSA] semaphore -> mutex (core part)Ingo Molnar2006-03-221-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | Semaphore to mutex conversion. The conversion was generated via scripts, and the result was validated automatically via a script as well. Signed-off-by: Ingo Molnar <mingo@elte.hu> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@osdl.org> Signed-off-by: Takashi Iwai <tiwai@suse.de>
* [ALSA] dynamic minors (3/6): store device-specific object pointers dynamicallyClemens Ladisch2006-01-031-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | Instead of storing the pointers to the device-specific structures in an array, put them into the struct snd_minor, and look them up dynamically. This makes the device type modules independent of the minor number encoding. Signed-off-by: Clemens Ladisch <clemens@ladisch.de>
* [ALSA] Remove xxx_t typedefs: HwdepTakashi Iwai2006-01-031-22/+20
| | | | | | | | Modules: HWDEP Midlevel Remove xxx_t typedefs from the core hwdep codes. Signed-off-by: Takashi Iwai <tiwai@suse.de>

Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
