* i386/x86_64: move headers to include/asm-x86Thomas Gleixner2007-10-111-153/+0
| | | | | | | | Move the headers to include/asm-x86 and fixup the header install make rules Signed-off-by: Thomas Gleixner <tglx@linutronix.de> Signed-off-by: Ingo Molnar <mingo@elte.hu>
* ACPI: Kconfig: remove CONFIG_ACPI_SLEEP from sourceLen Brown2007-07-251-13/+9
| | | | | | | | | | As it was a synonym for (CONFIG_ACPI && CONFIG_X86), the ifdefs for it were more clutter than they were worth. For ia64, just add a few stubs in anticipation of future S3 or S4 support. Signed-off-by: Len Brown <len.brown@intel.com>
* x86_64: fake pxm-to-node mapping for fake numaDavid Rientjes2007-07-211-0/+11
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | For NUMA emulation, our SLIT should represent the true NUMA topology of the system but our proximity domain to node ID mapping needs to reflect the emulated state. When NUMA emulation has successfully setup fake nodes on the system, a new function, acpi_fake_nodes() is called. This function determines the proximity domain (_PXM) for each true node found on the system. It then finds which emulated nodes have been allocated on this true node as determined by its starting address. The node ID to PXM mapping is changed so that each fake node ID points to the PXM of the true node that it is located on. If the machine failed to register a SLIT, then we assume there is no special requirement for emulated node affinity so we use the default LOCAL_DISTANCE, which is newly exported to this code, as our measurement if the emulated nodes appear in the same PXM. Otherwise, we use REMOTE_DISTANCE. PXM_INVAL and NID_INVAL are also exported to the ACPI header file so that we can compare node_to_pxm() results in generic code (in this case, the SRAT code). * ACPICA: Allow ACPI id to be u32 instead of u8.Alexey Starikovskiy2007-02-021-9/+7
| | | | | | | Allow ACPI id to be u32 instead of u8. Requires drop of conversion tables with the acpiid as index. Signed-off-by: Len Brown <len.brown@intel.com>

| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | - Fixes a build problem with CONFIG_M386=y (include file dependencies get messy). - Share the implementation between x86 and x86_64 - These are too big to inline anyway. * | [PATCH] x86: Add acpi_user_timer_override option for Asus boardsAndi Kleen2006-11-141-0/+1
|/ | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Timer overrides are normally disabled on Nvidia board because they are commonly wrong, except on new ones with HPET support. Unfortunately there are quite some Asus boards around that don't have HPET, but need a timer override. We don't know yet how to handle this transparently, but at least add a command line option to force the timer override and let them boot. * [PATCH] Remove some cruft in apic id checking during processor setupAndi Kleen2006-09-261-2/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | - Remove a define that was used only once - Remove the too large APIC ID check because we always support the full 8bit range of APICs. - Restructure code a bit to be simpler. Cc: len.brown@intel.com Signed-off-by: Andi Kleen <ak@suse.de>

Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
