* powerpc/pseries: Update the device tree correctly for drconf memory add/removeNathan Fontenot2008-07-031-2/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This updates the device tree manipulation routines so that memory add/remove of lmbs represented under the ibm,dynamic-reconfiguration-memory node of the device tree invokes the hotplug notifier chain. This change is needed because of the change in the way memory is represented under the ibm,dynamic-reconfiguration-memory node. All lmbs are described in the ibm,dynamic-memory property instead of having a separate node for each lmb as in previous device tree layouts. This requires the update_node() routine to check for updates to the ibm,dynamic-memory property and invoke the hotplug notifier chain. This also updates the pseries hotplug notifier to be able to gather information for lmbs represented under the ibm,dynamic-reconfiguration-memory node and have the lmbs added/removed. * [PATCH] powerpc: sanitize header files for user space includesArnd Bergmann2006-01-091-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | include/asm-ppc/ had #ifdef __KERNEL__ in all header files that are not meant for use by user space, include/asm-powerpc does not have this yet. This patch gets us a lot closer there. There are a few cases where I was not sure, so I left them out. I have verified that no CONFIG_* symbols are used outside of __KERNEL__ any more and that there are no obvious compile errors when including any of the headers in user space libraries. * powerpc: Merge in the ppc64 version of the prom code.Paul Mackerras2005-10-061-0/+25
This brings in the ppc64 version of prom_init.c, prom.c and btext.c and makes them work for ppc32. This also brings in the new calling convention, where the first entry to the kernel (with r5 != 0) goes to the prom_init code, which then restarts from the beginning (with r5 == 0) after it has done its stuff. For now this also brings in the ppc32 version of setup.c. It also merges lmb.h. Signed-off-by: Paul Mackerras <paulus@samba.org>
