* V4L/DVB (3446): Saa7134: add support for AVerMedia A169 Dual Analog tuner cardRickard Osser2006-03-212-0/+61
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | - Added support for AVerMedia A169 Dual Analog tuner card (dual saa7134 decoders - only 1 working right now) - Added autodetection for both parts of the card. It shows up like 2 cards, B1 and B - Enabled tuner B1, SVIDEO on B1 and composite1 through SVIDEO, FIXME: B is more or less dead at this point and I suspect the FM-radio is on the B part of the board Signed-off-by: Rickard Osser <ricky@osser.se> Signed-off-by: Michael Krufky <mkrufky@linuxtv.org> Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@infradead.org>

* V4L/DVB (3439): Added no_overlay option and quirks to saa7134Mauro Carvalho Chehab2006-03-212-3/+28
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Some chipsets have several problems when pci to pci transfers are activated on overlay mode. the option no_overlay allows disabling such feature of the driver, in favor of keeping the system stable. The default is to use pcipci_fail flag defined on drivers/pci/quirks.c. It also allows the user to override it by forcing disable overlay or forcing enable. Forcing enable may generate PCI transfer corruption, including disk mass corruption, so should be used with care. Added a text description to this option and make messages looks the same at both bttv and saa7134 drivers. Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@infradead.org>
* V4L/DVB (3438): Optical cleanup for dmxdev.cAndreas Oberritter2006-03-211-329/+321

| | | | | | | | Rename 'enum dmxdevype' to 'enum dmxdev_type' and use this enum instead of int for the member 'type' of struct dmxdev_filter. Signed-off-by: Andreas Oberritter <obi@linuxtv.org> Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@infradead.org>
* V4L/DVB (3436): Remove 'dvbdev' from struct dmxdev_filterAndreas Oberritter2006-03-212-3/+0

* V4L/DVB (3435): Remove 'pid' from struct dmxdev_filterAndreas Oberritter2006-03-212-8/+3

| * [TG3]: 40-bit DMA workaround part 2Michael Chan2006-03-192-9/+44
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The 40-bit DMA workaround recently implemented for 5714, 5715, and 5780 needs to be expanded because there may be other tg3 devices behind the EPB Express to PCIX bridge in the 5780 class device. For example, some 4-port card or mother board designs have 5704 behind the 5714. All devices behind the EPB require the 40-bit DMA workaround. Thanks to Chris Elmquist again for reporting the problem and testing the patch. Signed-off-by: Michael Chan <mchan@broadcom.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
| * [PATCH] Kconfig: swap VIDEO_CX88_ALSA and VIDEO_CX88_DVBMichael Krufky2006-03-181-14/+14
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | VIDEO_CX88_ALSA should not be between VIDEO_CX88_DVB and VIDEO_CX88_DVB_ALL_FRONTENDS When cx88-alsa was added to cx88/Kconfig, it was added in between VIDEO_CX88_DVB and VIDEO_CX88_DVB_ALL_FRONTENDS. This caused undesireable effects to the appearance of the menu options in menuconfig. This fix reorders cx88-alsa and cx88-dvb in Kconfig, to match saa7134, and restore the correct menuconfig appearance. | * [PATCH] dm stripe: Fix boundsKevin Corry2006-03-171-1/+7
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The dm-stripe target currently does not enforce that the size of a stripe device be a multiple of the chunk-size. Under certain conditions, this can lead to I/O requests going off the end of an underlying device. This test-case shows one example. echo "0 100 linear /dev/hdb1 0" | dmsetup create linear0 echo "0 100 linear /dev/hdb1 100" | dmsetup create linear1 echo "0 200 striped 2 32 /dev/mapper/linear0 0 /dev/mapper/linear1 0" | \ dmsetup create stripe0 dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/mapper/stripe0 bs=1k This will produce the output: dd: writing '/dev/mapper/stripe0': Input/output error 97+0 records in 96+0 records out And in the kernel log will be: attempt to access beyond end of device dm-0: rw=0, want=104, limit=100 The patch will check that the table size is a multiple of the stripe chunk-size when the table is created, which will prevent the above striped device from being created. This should not affect tools like LVM or EVMS, since in all the cases I can think of, striped devices are always created with the sizes being a multiple of the chunk-size. The size of a stripe device must be a multiple of its chunk-size. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Olaf Hering reported a problem on pseries with e100 where ethtool -t would cause a bus error, and the e100 driver would stop working. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The patch fixes following issues: (1) Replace scsi_add_device with scsi_scan_target. (Thus the rport instead of the scsi_host becomes parent of a scsi_target again.) (2) Avoid scsi_device allocation during registration of an remote port. (Would be done during fc_scsi_scan_rport.) (3) Fix queuecommand behaviour when an zfcp unit is blocked. The sysfs interface that EDAC presents to user space needs more thought, and is likely to change substantially. Therefore disable it for now so users don't start depending on it in its current form. - Disable the default behavior of calling panic() when an uncorrectible error is detected (since for now, there is no sysfs interface that allows the user to configure this behavior). | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch fixes an error in the dl2k driver's DMA mapping/unmapping. However, this is not masked off when referencing the DMA address, and can lead to errors by trying to free a DMA address out of range. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | For some reason, E1000's ->hard_start_xmit() routine returns -EFAULT instead of one of the NETDEV_TX_* error codes.
