* [SCSI] pci_module_init conversion in scsi subsystemHenrik Kretzschmar2006-09-261-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | Converts pci_module_init() to pci_register_driver() in the scsi subsys on 23 drivers which only return the value of pci_module_init(). * [SCSI] fix up request buffer reference in various scsi driversChristoph Hellwig2006-06-061-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | Various scsi drivers use scsi_cmnd.buffer and scsi_cmnd.bufflen in their queuecommand functions. Those fields are internal storage for the midlayer only and are used to restore the original payload after request_buffer and request_bufflen have been overwritten for EH. Using the buffer and bufflen fields means they do very broken things in error handling. Signed-off-by: Christoph Hellwig <hch@lst.de> Signed-off-by: James Bottomley <James.Bottomley@SteelEye.com>
* [PATCH] Replace 0xff.. with correct DMA_xBIT_MASKMatthias Gehre2006-03-281-1/+2
| | | | | | | | | | Replace all occurences of 0xff.. in calls to function pci_set_dma_mask() and pci_set_consistant_dma_mask() with the corresponding DMA_xBIT_MASK from linux/dma-mapping.h. * [SCSI] use scmd_id(), scmd_channel() throughout codeJeff Garzik2005-10-281-4/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | Wrap a highly common idiom. Makes the code easier to read, helps pave the way for sdev->{id,channel} removal, and adds a token that can easily by grepped-for in the future. There are a couple sdev_id() and scmd_printk() updates thrown in as well. Rejections fixed up and Signed-off-by: James Bottomley <James.Bottomley@SteelEye.com>
* [SCSI] remove scsi_set_deviceChristoph Hellwig2005-06-261-3/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | scsi_add_host is the proper place to set the device, but people copy the scsi_set_device usage from older drivers again and again. note that this leaves some legacy drivers like qlogicisp/qlogicfc without pci association in sysfs, but they're scheduled to go away soon anyway. * [SCSI] Remove no-op implementations of SCSI EH hooksJeff Garzik2005-06-171-1/+0
| | | | | | | Drivers need not implement a hook that returns FAILED, and does nothing else, since the SCSI midlayer code will do that for us. Signed-off-by: James Bottomley <James.Bottomley@SteelEye.com>

Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
