* net: ethernet: xilinx: Convert xilinx_axienet to module_platform_driverTobias Klauser2012-02-171-12/+1
| | | | | | | | | Follow commit db62f684. Convert the driver to use the module_platform_driver() macro which makes the code a bit smaller and simpler. Signed-off-by: Tobias Klauser <tklauser@distanz.ch> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
* xilinx ll_temac: use eth_hw_addr_random() instead of random_ether_addr()Danny Kukawka2012-02-171-1/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Use eth_hw_addr_random() instead of calling random_ether_addr() to set addr_assign_type correctly to NET_ADDR_RANDOM. Reset the state to NET_ADDR_PERM as soon as the MAC get changed via .ndo_set_mac_address. v2: reworked to prevent using an extra variable Signed-off-by: Danny Kukawka <danny.kukawka@bisect.de> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
* netdev: ethernet dev_alloc_skb to netdev_alloc_skbPradeep A. Dalvi2012-02-081-1/+1
| | | | | | | | Replaced deprecating dev_alloc_skb with netdev_alloc_skb in drivers/net/ethernet - Removed extra skb->dev = dev after netdev_alloc_skb Signed-off-by: Pradeep A Dalvi <netdev@pradeepdalvi.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
* drivers/net: Remove alloc_etherdev error messagesJoe Perches2012-01-313-9/+4
| | | | | | | | alloc_etherdev has a generic OOM/unable to alloc message. Remove the duplicative messages after alloc_etherdev calls. Signed-off-by: Joe Perches <joe@perches.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
* drivers/net/ethernet/xilinx: added Xilinx AXI Ethernet driverdanborkmann@iogearbox.net2012-01-255-0/+2438
| | | | | | | | | | | | | This driver adds support for Xilinx 10/100/1000 AXI Ethernet. It can be used, for instance, on Xilinx boards with a Microblaze architecture like the ML605. The patch is against the latest net-next tree and checkpatch clean. * net: ethernet: xilinx: Don't use NO_IRQ in xilinxMichal Simek2011-12-212-2/+2
| | | | | | | | Fix ll_temac and emaclite drivers. Only Microblaze and Xilinx PPC use then and both use NO_IRQ as 0. It will be removed in near future. Signed-off-by: Michal Simek <monstr@monstr.eu> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
* net: fix assignment of 0/1 to bool variables.Rusty Russell2011-12-191-3/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | DaveM said: Please, this kind of stuff rots forever and not using bool properly drives me crazy. Joe Perches <joe@perches.com> gave me the spatch script: @@ bool b; @@ -b = 0 +b = false @@ bool b; @@ -b = 1 +b = true I merely installed coccinelle, read the documentation and took credit. * ll_temac: Use kcalloc instead of kzalloc to allocate arrayThomas Meyer2011-12-041-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | The advantage of kcalloc is, that will prevent integer overflows which could result from the multiplication of number of elements and size and it is also a bit nicer to read. The semantic patch that makes this change is available in https://lkml.org/lkml/2011/11/25/107 Signed-off-by: Thomas Meyer <thomas@m3y3r.de> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
* net/ethernet: convert drivers/net/ethernet/* to use module_platform_driver()Axel Lin2011-11-292-32/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch converts the drivers in drivers/net/ethernet/* to use the module_platform_driver() macro which makes the code smaller and a bit simpler. | * net/ll_temac: FIX : Wait for indirect wait to endRicardo Ribalda2011-11-091-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | While tracing down a connectivity problem on the temac I connected a probe to the Cross bar irq, and it was triggered when doing ifdown->ifup. This is fixed once waiting for the indirect write to end. Since it is not on the hot path there is no performance loss. | * net/temac: FIX segfault when process old irqsRicardo Ribalda2011-11-091-1/+5
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Do not enable the irq until the scatter gather registers are ready to handle the data. Otherwise an irq from a packet send/received before last close can lead to an access to an invalid memory region on the irq handler. Also, stop the dma engine on close. * | ll_temac: Add support for phy_mii_ioctlRicardo Ribalda2011-11-081-0/+14

* net: fix typo in drivers/net/ethernet/xilinx/ll_temac_main.cStephen Rothwell2011-11-021-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Commit 9e903e085262 ("net: add skb frag size accessors") used frag_size instead of skb_frag_size in this file. Fixes this build error: drivers/net/ethernet/xilinx/ll_temac_main.c: In function 'temac_start_xmit': drivers/net/ethernet/xilinx/ll_temac_main.c:717:3: error: implicit declaration of function 'frag_size' [-Werror=implicit-function-declaration] Signed-off-by: Stephen Rothwell <sfr@canb.auug.org.au> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
* ll_temac: Add support for ethtoolRicardo2011-10-201-0/+27
| | | | | | | This patch enables the ethtool interface. The implementation is done using the libphy helper functions. Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
* net: add skb frag size accessorsEric Dumazet2011-10-191-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | To ease skb->truesize sanitization, its better to be able to localize all references to skb frags size. Define accessors : skb_frag_size() to fetch frag size, and skb_frag_size_{set|add|sub}() to manipulate it. Signed-off-by: Eric Dumazet <eric.dumazet@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: David S. * drivers/net/ethernet/*: Enabled vendor Kconfig optionsJeff Kirsher2011-08-271-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Based on finds for Stephen Rothwell, where current defconfig's enable a ethernet driver and it is not compiled due to the newly added NET_VENDOR_* component of Kconfig. This patch enables all the "new" Kconfig options so that current defconfig's will continue to compile the expected drivers. In addition, by enabling all the new Kconfig options does not add any un-expected options. CC: Stephen Rothwll <sfc@canb.auug.org.au> Signed-off-by: Jeff Kirsher <jeffrey.t.kirsher@intel.com>
