| * [media] Stop using linux/version.h on the remaining video driversMauro Carvalho Chehab2011-07-274-25/+8
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Standardize the remaining video drivers to return the API version for the VIDIOC_QUERYCAP version, instead of a per-driver version. Those drivers had the version updated more recently or are SoC drivers. Even so, it doesn't sound a good idea to keep a per-driver version control, so, let's use the per-subsystem version control instead. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch adds the VENC or the Video encoder, which is responsible for the blending of all source planes and timing generation for Video modes like NTSC, PAL and other digital outputs. the VENC implementation currently supports COMPOSITE and COMPONENT outputs and NTSC and PAL resolutions through the analog DACs. The venc block is implemented as a subdevice, allowing for additional external and internal encoders of other kind to plug-in. * V4L/DVB: vpfe_capture: Create separate Kconfig file for davinci devicesVaibhav Hiremath2010-08-021-0/+93
| | | | | | | | | | Currently VPFE Capture driver and DM6446 CCDC driver is being reused for AM3517. So this patch is preparing the Kconfig/makefile for re-use of such IP's. * V4L/DVB: v4l2-common: simplify prio utility functionsHans Verkuil2010-05-193-7/+7
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | v4l2_prio_init/open/close returned an int when in fact they would always return 0. Make these void functions. v4l2_prio_close and v4l2_prio_check pass an enum v4l2_priority as a pointer for no good reason. Replace with a normal enum v4l2_priority argument. These changes will simplify the work of moving priority handling into the v4l core. Signed-off-by: Hans Verkuil <hverkuil@xs4all.nl> Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@redhat.com>
* V4L/DVB: davinci: don't return under lock on error pathDan Carpenter2010-05-191-1/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | If the kmalloc() failed for "ccdc_cfg = kmalloc(...);" then we would exit with the lock held. I moved the mutex_lock() below the allocation because it isn't protecting anything in that block and allocations are allocations are sometimes slow. * V4L/DVB: V4L: vpfe_capture: Add call back function for interrupt clear for ↵Vaibhav Hiremath2010-05-181-4/+20
| | | | | | | | | | | | vpfe_cfg For the devices like AM3517, it is expected that driver clears the interrupt in ISR. Since this is device spcific, callback function added to the platform_data. * V4L/DVB: drivers/media/video: move dereference after NULL testJulia Lawall2010-05-181-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | In quickcam_messenger.c, if the NULL test on uvd is needed, then the dereference should be after the NULL test. In vpif_display.c, std_info is initialized to the address of a structure field. This seems unlikely to be NULL. Test std_info->stdid instead. In saa7134-alsa.c, the function is only called from one place, where the chip argument has already been dereferenced. On the other hand, if it should be kept, then card should be initialized after it. A simplified version of the semantic match that detects this problem is as follows (http://coccinelle.lip6.fr/): // <smpl> @match exists@ expression x, E; identifier fld; @@ * x->fld ... when != \(x = E\|&x\) * x == NULL // </smpl> Signed-off-by: Julia Lawall <julia@diku.dk> Acked-by: Muralidharan Karicheri <m-karicheri2@ti.com> Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@redhat.com>
