* dm: emc_endio returns voidGeert Uytterhoeven2007-10-131-2/+0
| | | | | | | | | emc_endio returns void: linux/drivers/md/dm-emc.c: In function 'emc_endio': linux/drivers/md/dm-emc.c:58: warning: 'return' with a value, in function returning void Signed-off-by: Geert Uytterhoeven <geert@linux-m68k.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@linux-foundation.org>
* Drop 'size' argument from bio_endio and bi_end_ioNeilBrown2007-10-101-4/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | As bi_end_io is only called once when the reqeust is complete, the 'size' argument is now redundant. Remove it. Now there is no need for bio_endio to subtract the size completed from bi_size. So don't do that either. While we are at it, change bi_end_io to return void. * Stop exporting blk_rq_bio_prepNeilBrown2007-10-101-9/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | blk_rq_bio_prep is exported for use in exactly one place. That place can benefit from using the new blk_rq_append_bio instead. So - change dm-emc to call blk_rq_append_bio - stop exporting blk_rq_bio_prep, and - initialise rq_disk in blk_rq_bio_prep, as dm-emc needs it. * [PATCH] struct path: rename DM's struct pathJosef "Jeff" Sipek2006-12-081-5/+5
| | | | | | | | | | | | Rename DM's struct path to struct dm_path to prevent name collision between it and struct path from fs/namei.c. * [PATCH] Split struct request ->flags into two partsJens Axboe2006-09-301-1/+2
| | | | | | | | | | Right now ->flags is a bit of a mess: some are request types, and others are just modifiers. Clean this up by splitting it into ->cmd_type and ->cmd_flags. This allows introduction of generic Linux block message types, useful for sending generic Linux commands to block devices. Signed-off-by: Jens Axboe <axboe@suse.de>

* [PATCH] device-mapper dm-emc: Fix a memsetAlasdair G Kergon2005-05-051-3/+3
| | | | | | | | | | The dm emc hardware handler code memset the hardware handler structure to zero AFTER it had initialized the structure's spinlock field. Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
