* [PATCH] Add block_device_operations.getgeo block device methodChristoph Hellwig2006-01-081-19/+7
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | HDIO_GETGEO is implemented in most block drivers, and all of them have to duplicate the code to copy the structure to userspace, as well as getting the start sector. This patch moves that to common code [1] and adds a ->getgeo method to fill out the raw kernel hd_geometry structure. For many drivers this means ->ioctl can go away now. [1] the s390 block drivers are odd in this respect. xpram sets ->start to 4 always which seems more than odd, and the dasd driver shifts the start offset around, probably because of it's non-standard sector size. * [PATCH] Driver Core: fix up all callers of class_device_create()Greg Kroah-Hartman2005-10-281-1/+1
| | | | | | | | The previous patch adding the ability to nest struct class_device changed the paramaters to the call class_device_create(). This patch fixes up all in-kernel users of the function. Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@suse.de>

* [NET]: Kill skb->real_devDavid S. Miller2005-08-291-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | Bonding just wants the device before the skb_bond() decapsulation occurs, so simply pass that original device into packet_type->func() as an argument. It remains to be seen whether we can use this same exact thing to get rid of skb->input_dev as well. Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>

Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
