The nhk8815 board files uses NAND_NO_READRDY in its platform data, but
this macro is getting removed because it was not being used anywhere.
Without this patch, building nhk8815_defconfig results in:

The wakeupgen context-save code reads and stores the AUXCOREBOOT0 and
AUXCOREBOOT1 register contents twice. This seems like a waste of
time, so, remove the duplicates.

Even though system suspend/resume hasn't been validated on Tegra yet,
this Kconfig option needs to be enabled so that system shutdown is
reliable on an SMP system. Without it, I2C interrupts may be routed
to CPU0, whereas shutdown code may be running on CPU1, causing I2C
timeouts, preventing communication with the external PMIC.
This reverts 3d5e8af "ARM: disable SUSPEND/ARCH_SUSPEND_POSSIBLE for
ARCH_TEGRA".

Some non-critical fixes for msm platforms. The missing FPGA init call
fix is necessary to compile the 8660 target. The iomapping calls are
needed to prevent duplicate mappings with differing attributes. And,
the debug UART change keeps the debug UART working on targets with
more than 512MB of memory.

The uart mapping runs into the space allocated for lowmem on some
8960 boards when we have more than 512Mb of memory. We were
getting lucky before and our mapping wasn't part of DDR. Move the
mapping up into the vmalloc area which will always be outside of
the lowmem mapping regardless of how much lowmem actually exists.

With 3.4 kernel the static iomappings can be shared with the ioremap
mappings. If ioremap is called with an address for which a static
mapping already exists, then that mapping should be used instead
of creating a new one.
However, the MT_DEVICE_NONSHARED flag prevents this. Hence, get rid
of this flag. Some targets (7X00) that require the static iomappings
to be NONSHARED use the MSM_DEVICE_TYPE and MSM_CHIP_DEVICE_TYPE macros.

A previous patch[1] added code to initialize an FPGA register on the
8660 "SURF" development platform. Since this development platform is
not widely available, and there is now a more available device "the
Dragonboard" based on the same core SOC, this change was dropped.
However, the DT code kept a lingering call to this FPGA init function.
Remove it.

The SMSC911x Ethernet chip requires a fixed-regulator in order to
function correctly. We have previously provided a means to obtain
this during a Device Tree boot, however nothing has been put into
place when booting with a non-DT kernel. This patch aims to change
that.

The Ux500 will be able to wake up on any IRQ, so flag it with
IRQCHIP_SKIP_SET_WAKE, and we want to mask off the IRQs when
going to suspend to avoid transient effects so also flag
this with IRQCHIP_MASK_ON_SUSPEND.

this is the 2nd version of this series whose goal is to make struct
of_device_id.data const. Conceptually a driver must not modify the data
contained there so making it const is the right thing.
v1 of this series was sent with Message-id:
1342182734-321-1-git-send-email-y. Changes since then are:
- powerpc fixes
- several new consts that were found by Arnd that are possible after
patch 19.
Arnd suggested to take this series via arm-soc late for 3.6 in one go
because patch 19 depends on the former patches but is a precondition to
the latter and it fixes a few warnings. So getting it in via the
respective maintainer trees would need a much bigger coordination
effort. That means I prefer getting Acks over you taking the patch.
Vinod Koul already took
dmaengine: at_hdmac: add a few const qualifiers
that is in next-20120723 as 7fd63ccdad72 now. Vinod, I don't follow your
pull requests, but assuming you didn't let it already pull for 3.6 I
suggest you drop it from your queue and I just take your Ack.
This series was build tested for arm (all defconfigs) and powerpc (all
defconfigs and an allyesconfig) and grep didn't find more issues. As
before it introduces a warning in drivers/regulator/twl-regulator.c.
This driver does modify its .of_match_table when a device is bound which
doesn't fits the concept of independant devices. Arnd noticed another
new warning in drivers/scsi/qlogicpti.c that isn't that easy to resolve,
because the pointer to (now) const data is passed as first argument to
scsi_host_alloc. To fix that properly struct Scsi_Host.hostt needs to
get a const, too. Alternatively I could introduce a cast removing the
const, but I don't like that.

There is no fundamental reason why we should switch SMEP and SMAP on
during early cpu initialization just to switch them off again. Now
with %eflags and %cr4 forced to be initialized to a clean state, we
only need the one-way enable. Also, make the functions inline to make
them (somewhat) harder to abuse.
This does mean that SMEP and SMAP do not get initialized anywhere near
as early. Even using early_param() instead of __setup() doesn't give
us control early enough to do this during the early cpu initialization
phase. This seems reasonable to me, because SMEP and SMAP should not
matter until we have userspace to protect ourselves from, but it does
potentially make it possible for a bug involving a "leak of
permissions to userspace" to get uncaught.

We already have a flag word to indicate the existence of MISC_ENABLES,
so use the same flag word to indicate existence of cr4 and EFER, and
always restore them if they exist. That way if something passes a
nonzero value when the value *should* be zero, we will still
initialize it.

%cr4 is supposed to reflect a set of features into which the operating
system is opting in. If the BIOS or bootloader leaks bits here, this
is not desirable. Consider a bootloader passing in %cr4.pae set to a
legacy paging kernel, for example -- it will not have any immediate
effect, but the kernel would crash when turning paging on.
A similar argument applies to %eflags, and since we have to look for
%eflags.id being settable we can use a sequence which clears %eflags
as a side effect.
Note that we already do this for x86-64.

With SMAP, the [f][x]rstor_checking() functions are no longer usable
for user-space pointers by applying a simple __force cast. Instead,
create new [f][x]rstor_user() functions which do the proper SMAP
magic.

Signal handling contains a bunch of accesses to individual user space
items, which causes an excessive number of STAC and CLAC
instructions. Instead, let get/put_user_try ... get/put_user_catch()
contain the STAC and CLAC instructions.
This means that get/put_user_try no longer nests, and furthermore that
it is no longer legal to use user space access functions other than
__get/put_user_ex() inside those blocks. However, these macros are
x86-specific anyway and are only used in the signal-handling paths; a
simple reordering of moving the larger subroutine calls out of the
try...catch blocks resolves that problem.

When Supervisor Mode Access Prevention (SMAP) is enabled, access to
userspace from the kernel is controlled by the AC flag. To make the
performance of manipulating that flag acceptable, there are two new
instructions, STAC and CLAC, to set and clear it.
This patch adds those instructions, via alternative(), when the SMAP
feature is enabled. It also adds X86_EFLAGS_AC unconditionally to the
SYSCALL entry mask; there is simply no reason to make that one
conditional.

The STAC/CLAC instructions are only available with SMAP, but on the
other hand they aren't needed if SMAP is not available, or before we
start to run userspace, so construct them as alternatives which start
out as noops and are enabled by the alternatives mechanism.
