* m68k: merge m68k and m68knommu arch directoriesGreg Ungerer2011-03-251-20/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | There is a lot of common code that could be shared between the m68k and m68knommu arch branches. It makes sense to merge the two branches into a single directory structure so that we can more easily share that common code. This is a brute force merge, based on a script from Stephen King <sfking@fdwdc.com>, which was originally written by Arnd Bergmann <arnd@arndb.de>. > The script was inspired by the script Sam Ravnborg used to merge the > includes from m68knommu. For those files common to both arches but > differing in content, the m68k version of the file is renamed to > <file>_mm.<ext> and the m68knommu version of the file is moved into the > corresponding m68k directory and renamed <file>_no.<ext> and a small > wrapper file <file>.<ext> is used to select between the two version. Files > that are common to both but don't differ are removed from the m68knommu > tree and files and directories that are unique to the m68knommu tree are > moved to the m68k tree. Finally, the arch/m68knommu tree is removed. > > To select between the the versions of the files, the wrapper uses > > #ifdef CONFIG_MMU > #include <file>_mm.<ext> > #else > #include <file>_no.<ext> > #endif On top of this file merge I have done a simplistic merge of m68k and m68knommu Kconfig, which primarily attempts to keep existing options and menus in place. Other than a handful of options being moved it produces identical .config outputs on m68k and m68knommu targets I tested it on. With this in place there is now quite a bit of scope for merge cleanups in future patches. Signed-off-by: Greg Ungerer <gerg@uclinux.org>
* m68knommu: change to new flag variablesmatt mooney2010-10-211-2/+2
| | | | | | | Replace EXTRA_CFLAGS with ccflags-y and EXTRA_AFLAGS with asflags-y. Signed-off-by: matt mooney <mfm@muteddisk.com> Signed-off-by: Greg Ungerer <gerg@uclinux.org>
* m68knommu: add smc91x support for ColdFire NETtel boardsGreg Ungerer2010-05-241-1/+3
| | | | | | | | | The ColdFire based NETtel boards use the SMC9196 ethernet devices. Switch to using a platform setup for these parts using the smc91x driver. The init code is taken strait out of arch/m68k/include/asm/mcfsmc.h, just cleaned up a bit. Signed-off-by: Greg Ungerer <gerg@uclinux.org>
* generic GPIO support for the Freescale Coldfire 5307.sfking@fdwdc.com2009-09-101-1/+1
| | | | | | | Add support for the 5307. Signed-off-by: Steven King <sfking@fdwdc.com> Signed-off-by: Greg Ungerer <gerg@uclinux.org>
* m68knommu: use asflags instead of EXTRA_AFLAGSGreg Ungerer2008-02-141-3/+1
| | | | | | | | | | Modify the extra asm flags for debugger capabilities, use asflags instead for EXTRA_AFLAGS. Suggestion from Sam Ravnborg. * m68knommu: modify Makefiles to support common coldfire directoryGreg Ungerer2008-02-011-13/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Modify Makefiles to support separate coldfire platform directory. Currently the common ColdFire CPU family code sits in the arch/m68knommu/platform/5307 directory. This is confusing, the files containing this common code are in no way specific to the 5307 ColdFire. Create an arch/m68knommu/platform/coldfire directory to contain this common code. Other m68knommu CPU varients do not need use this code though, so it doesn't make sense to move it to arch/m68knommu/kernel. * kbuild: fix AFLAGS use in h8300 and m68knommuSam Ravnborg2007-10-151-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | In most cases when AFALGS is manipuled direct this is a bug and EXTRA_AFLAGS should have been used. Fix the obvious candidates. Signed-off-by: Sam Ravnborg <sam@ravnborg.org> Cc: Greg Ungerer <gerg@uclinux.org> Cc: Yoshinori Sato <ysato@users.sourceforge.jp>
* m68knommu: generic irq handlingGreg Ungerer2007-07-191-1/+1

* [PATCH] m68knommu: add ColdFire 532x timer build supportGreg Ungerer2006-06-251-0/+1
| | | | | | | Add build support for new Freescale M532x CPU family timer. Signed-off-by: Greg Ungerer <gerg@uclinux.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>
* [PATCH] m68knommu: use the ColdFire PIT timer for new 5208Greg Ungerer2005-11-071-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | The Freescale 5208 ColdFire uses the common PIT timer code for its internal timer. Build it when configured for the 5208 processor. Add support for the internal register map of the 5208 ColdFire fmaily. Patch originally from Matt Waddel (from code originally written by Mike Lavender). * [PATCH] m68knommu: add timer support for the 523x ColdFire processor familyGreg Ungerer2005-09-081-0/+1
| | | | | | | | Add timer support for the ColdFire 523x processor family. (It uses the ColdFire PIT timer hardware, so we just build that in). Signed-off-by: Greg Ungerer <gerg@uclinux.com> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>

Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
