| * ARM: S3C24XX: Add plaform device definition for USB High-Speed gadget ↵Thomas Abraham2011-05-102-0/+58
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | controller. S3C2416, S3C2443 and S3C2450 includes a USB High-Speed Gadget controller module. This patch adds the following for supporting this controller. 1. Definition for USB High-Speed controller base address. 2. Platform device instantiation. 3. Declaration for platform data structure. 4. Functionality to setup platform data for the controller. * | ARM / Samsung: Use struct syscore_ops for "core" power managementRafael J. Wysocki2011-04-242-47/+28
|/ | | | | | | | | | | | | | Replace sysdev classes and struct sys_device objects used for "core" power management by Samsung platforms with struct syscore_ops objects that are simpler. This generally reduces the code size and the kernel memory footprint. It also is necessary for removing sysdevs entirely from the kernel in the future. Signed-off-by: Rafael J. | * ARM: SAMSUNG: Move PWM device definition from plat-s3c24xx to plat-samsungBanajit Goswami2011-03-031-7/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch does the following:- 1. It moves file pwm.c from plat-s3c24xx to plat-samsung. This will enable all machines with Samsung SoCs to make use of the same code. 2. The device definitions have been separated to a new file dev-pwm.c for better clarity and structure. 3. It will enable all Samsung S3C and S5P series SoC's to use common PWM Kconfig definition. Signed-off-by: Banajit Goswami <banajit.g@samsung.com> Signed-off-by: Kukjin Kim <kgene.kim@samsung.com>

* | | ARM: S3C24XX: Fix mess with gpio {set,get}_pull callbacksVasily Khoruzhick2010-12-083-7/+10
| |/ |/| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Currently the {set,get}_pull callbacks of the s3c24xx_gpiocfg_default structure are initalized via s3c_gpio_{get,set}pull_1up. This results in a linker error when only CONFIG_CPU_S3C2442 is selected: arch/arm/plat-s3c24xx/built-in.o:(.data+0x13f4): undefined reference to `s3c_gpio_getpull_1up' arch/arm/plat-s3c24xx/built-in.o:(.data+0x13f8): undefined reference to `s3c_gpio_setpull_1up' The s3c2442 has pulldowns instead of pullups compared to the s3c2440. The method of controlling them is the same though. So this patch modifies the existing s3c_gpio_{get,set}pull_1up helper functions to take an additional parameter deciding whether the pin has a pullup or pulldown. The s3c_gpio_{get,set}pull_1{down,up} functions then wrap that functions passing either S3C_GPIO_PULL_UP or S3C_GPIO_PULL_DOWN. Furthermore this patch sets up the s3c24xx_gpiocfg_default.{get,set}_pull fields in the s3c244{0,2}_map_io function to the new pulldown helper functions. | |/ / | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Recent changes in s3c gpio break mini2440 board and may be others. The problem is that mach-mini2440.c: mini2440_init() (where we call s3c_gpio_setpull()) is called before s3c2440.c: s3c2440_init() (where we initialize s3c24xx_gpiocfg_default.set_pull function pointer). * | | ASoC: multi-component - ASoC Multi-Component SupportLiam Girdwood2010-08-121-2/+28
| |/ |/| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch extends the ASoC API to allow sound cards to have more than one CODEC and more than one platform DMA controller. This is achieved by dividing some current ASoC structures that contain both driver data and device data into structures that only either contain device data or driver data. i.e. struct snd_soc_codec ---> struct snd_soc_codec (device data) +-> struct snd_soc_codec_driver (driver data) struct snd_soc_platform ---> struct snd_soc_platform (device data) +-> struct snd_soc_platform_driver (driver data) struct snd_soc_dai ---> struct snd_soc_dai (device data) +-> struct snd_soc_dai_driver (driver data) struct snd_soc_device ---> deleted This now allows ASoC to be more tightly aligned with the Linux driver model and also means that every ASoC codec, platform and (platform) DAI is a kernel device. ASoC component private data is now stored as device private data. The ASoC sound card struct snd_soc_card has also been updated to store lists of it's components rather than a pointer to a codec and platform. The PCM runtime struct soc_pcm_runtime now has pointers to all its components. This patch adds DAPM support for ASoC multi-component and removes struct snd_soc_socdev from DAPM core. All DAPM calls are now made on a card, codec or runtime PCM level basis rather than using snd_soc_socdev. Other notable multi-component changes:- * Stream operations now de-reference less structures. * close_delayed work() now runs on a DAI basis rather than looping all DAIs in a card. * PM suspend()/resume() operations can now handle N CODECs and Platforms per sound card. * Added soc_bind_dai_link() to bind the component devices to the sound card. * Added soc_dai_link_probe() and soc_dai_link_remove() to probe and remove DAI link components. * sysfs entries can now be registered per component per card. * snd_soc_new_pcms() functionailty rolled into dai_link_probe(). * snd_soc_register_codec() now does all the codec list and mutex init. This patch changes the probe() and remove() of the CODEC drivers as follows:- o Make CODEC driver a platform driver o Moved all struct snd_soc_codec list, mutex, etc initialiasation to core. o Removed all static codec pointers (drivers now support > 1 codec dev) o snd_soc_register_pcms() now done by core. o snd_soc_register_dai() folded into snd_soc_register_codec().
