As suggested by Andrew Morton:
This is a pet peeve of mine. Any time there's a long list of items
(header file inclusions, kconfig entries, array initalisers, etc) and
someone wants to add a new item, they *always* go and stick it at the
end of the list.
Guys, don't do this. Either put the new item into a randomly-chosen
position or, probably better, alphanumerically sort the list.
lets sort all our select statements alphanumerically. This commit was
created by the following perl:
while (<>) {
while (/\\\s*$/) {
$_ .= <>;
}
undef %selects if /^\s*config\s+/;
if (/^\s+select\s+(\w+).*/) {
if (defined($selects{$1})) {
if ($selects{$1} eq $_) {
print STDERR "Warning: removing duplicated $1 entry\n";
} else {
print STDERR "Error: $1 differently selected\n".
"\tOld: $selects{$1}\n".
"\tNew: $_\n";
exit 1;
}
}
$selects{$1} = $_;
next;
}
if (%selects and (/^\s*$/ or /^\s+help/ or /^\s+---help---/ or
/^endif/ or /^endchoice/)) {
foreach $k (sort (keys %selects)) {
print "$selects{$k}";
}
undef %selects;
}
print;
}
if (%selects) {
foreach $k (sort (keys %selects)) {
print "$selects{$k}";
}
}
It found two duplicates:
Warning: removing duplicated S5P_SETUP_MIPIPHY entry
Warning: removing duplicated HARDIRQS_SW_RESEND entry
and they are identical duplicates, hence the shrinkage in the diffstat
of two lines.
We have four testers reporting success of this change (Tony, Stephen,
Linus and Sekhar.)

This code is used by boards based on the S3C2410/S3C2440/S3C2416.
The patch includes also a rename of the option, as the smdk code
is not a mach itself, but only an extension with common code.

S3C-SoCs starting with the S3C2443 can share a lot of functionality.
The file can collect more common code of these SocS later on and
therefore gets a new name to reflect this future purpose.

This patch moves S3C2410 stuff into mach-s3c24xx/ directory
so that we can merge the s3c24 series' directories to the
just one mach-s3c24xx/ directory.
And this patch is including following.
- re-ordered alphabetically by option text at Kconfig and Makefile
- removed unused option, MACH_N35
- fixed duplcated option name, S3C2410_DMA to S3C24XX_DMA which is
in plat-s3c24xx/

This patch changes the ARCH name to "ARCH_S3C24XX" for Samsung
S3C2410, S3C2412, S3C2413, S3C2416, S3C2440, S3C2442, S3C2443,
and S3C2450 SoCs so that we can merge the mach-xxx directories
and plat-s3c24xx dir. to just one mach-s3c24xx for them.
I think this should be sent to upstream via samsung tree because
this touches many samsung stuff.

A grep through the kernel source revealed that neither the
config-options nor the defined functions are used anywhere
in the kernel.
There was also no activity in this regard through the last kernel
releases, so it seems this situation will not change in the future.
Therefore this patch removes this seemingly dead code.

Commit bcae8aeb32 "[ARM] S3C24A0: Initial architecture support files"
brought in a bunch of files while explicitly leaving out the corresponding
Kconfig entry, stating that the series is not complete.
More than 2.5 years later, the support for this has not seen any progress.
This is therefore dead code. If someone wants to revive this code, it is
always possible to retrieve it from the Git repository.

This patch does the following:-
1. It moves file pwm.c from plat-s3c24xx to plat-samsung. This will
enable all machines with Samsung SoCs to make use of the same code.
2. The device definitions have been separated to a new file dev-pwm.c
for better clarity and structure.
3. It will enable all Samsung S3C and S5P series SoC's to use common
PWM Kconfig definition.

This patch adds gpiolib support for h1940 latch.

Move the Kconfig entries from plat-s3c to plat-samsung and plat-s3c24xx
as necessary. The S3C_BOOT entries and the DMA configuration can go to
plat-samsung. The low-level UART configurations are currently S3C2XX
specific and can go to plat-s3c24xx.

Currently the S5PC100 does not define S3C_PA_NAND, leaving the NAND device
definitions in arch/arm/plat-s3c/dev-nand.c unbuildable. Add a KConfig
entry to select whether this is built.
As backwards compatibility, both the S3C24XX and S3C64XX define the new
configuration in their main Kconfig files until better support for basing
this selection on a per-machine basis can be sorted out.
