| | | * ARM: 6227/1: PL022 SSP platform data for the RealViewsLinus Walleij2010-07-151-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This adds platform data for the PL022 to the ARM RealView reference designs, adds the necessary clock definition and fixes a badly defined IRQ line on the PB1176. | | | * ARM: 6204/1: Fixups for the RealView PB1176Linus Walleij2010-07-091-0/+1
| |_|/ |/| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This is a number of basic fixes to the PB1176 that makes it tick properly: - Detect MMC insertion/removal even when PL061 GPIO is not compiled in. The register to read this status directly is removed on the PB1176. - Define the UART3 on the DevChip (where is actually is) and define the new UART4 serial port on the FPGA. - Also define the clocks for these two UARTs apropriately. - Remove the false notion that the PB1176 should have its CLCD on the ISSP, this is not the case, it is in the DevChip. - Remove the defintions and the previously commented-out PL081 DMAC. As confirmed by mail this was found to be broken on the PB1176 board and removed from the subsequent FPGA images. * | ARM: 6201/1: RealView: Do not use outer_sync() on ARM11MPCore boards with L220Catalin Marinas2010-07-021-0/+8
|/ | | | | | | | | | | | | RealView boards with certain revisions of the L220 cache controller (ARM11* processors only) may have issues (hardware deadlock) with the recent changes to the mb() barrier implementation (DSB followed by an L2 cache sync). The patch redefines the RealView ARM11MPCore mandatory barriers without the outer_sync() call. | | | | | | | | | | | In anticipation of PMU support for Realview boards, the IRQs defined for some of these boards need updating. |/ | | | | | | | | | | | | | Otherwise more complicated uart configuration won't be possible. We can use r1 for tmp register for both head.S and debug.S. NOTE: This patch depends on another patch to add the the tmp register into all debug-macro.S files. * RealView: Add sparsemem support for the RealView PBX platformCatalin Marinas2009-11-051-0/+49
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | The RealView PBX board has two 512MB blocks of memory - one at 0x70000000 (with 256MB mirror at 0) and another at 0x20000000. Only the block at 0x70000000 (or the mirror at 0) may be used for DMA (e.g. framebuffer). This patch adds the sparsemem definitions to allow the use of all the memory split as follows: 256MB @ 0x00000000 (ZONE_DMA) 512MB @ 0x20000000 (ZONE_NORMAL) 256MB @ 0x80000000 (ZONE_NORMAL) Signed-off-by: Catalin Marinas <catalin.marinas@arm.com>

* [ARM] realview: remove useless smp_cross_call_done()Russell King2009-05-171-7/+0
| | | | | | | | smp_cross_call_done() is a no-op for MPCore, and since it's only used by platform code, there's no point in having it unless it's doing something. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [ARM] smp: fix cpumask usage in ARM SMP codeRussell King2009-05-171-3/+3

* [ARM] pass reboot command line to arch_reset()Russell King2009-03-191-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | OMAP wishes to pass state to the boot loader upon reboot in order to instruct it whether to wait for USB-based reflashing or not. There is already a facility to do this via the reboot() syscall, except we ignore the string passed to machine_restart(). This patch fixes things to pass this string to arch_reset(). This means that we keep the reboot mode limited to telling the kernel _how_ to perform the reboot which should be independent of what we request the boot loader to do. | * RealView: Allow PHYS_OFFSET at 0x70000000Catalin Marinas2008-12-011-0/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | RealView boards like PB11MPCore have 512MB of RAM available contiguously at 0x70000000. Half of the memory is mirrored at 0x00000000 for backwards compatibility. This patch adds the CONFIG_REALVIEW_HIGH_PHYS_OFFSET option option to change the physical base address so that the full amount of RAM is available to Linux. Note that the EB board has 256MB of RAM also mirrored at 0x70000000, the only board without this feature being PB1176. Signed-off-by: Catalin Marinas <catalin.marinas@arm.com>
| * RealView: Make more vmalloc space by changing IO_ADDRESSCatalin Marinas2008-11-103-3/+10
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Since boards like PB11MPCore have 512MB of RAM and 128MB of flash, the virtual space is short on vmalloc memory and mapping the flash fails. This patch changes the IO_ADDRESS so that static mappings start at 0xfc000000 and moves the PCI virtual addresses higher up. The new VMALLOC_END is set to 0xf8000000 (512MB higher than the old value). Signed-off-by: Catalin Marinas <catalin.marinas@arm.com>
| * RealView: Add debug-macro.S support for the PB1176 platformCatalin Marinas2008-11-101-3/+23
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The UART0 address is different on PB1176 from EB or PB11MPCore. This patch adds the necessary #ifdef's to this file. The disadvantage is that enabling CONFIG_DEBUG_LL will work properly on PB1176 if only this platform is enabled. Signed-off-by: Catalin Marinas <catalin.marinas@arm.com>
* | [ARM] Add a common typesafe __io implementationRussell King2008-11-301-7/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | As Al did for Versatile in 2ad4f86b60b649fd7428265c08d73a3bd360c81b, add a typesafe __io implementation for platforms to use. Convert platforms to use this new simple typesafe implementation. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* | [ARM] Hide ISA DMA API when ISA_DMA_API is unsetRussell King2008-11-291-20/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | When ISA_DMA_API is unset, we're not implementing the ISA DMA API, so there's no point in publishing the prototypes via asm/dma.h, nor including the machine dependent parts of that API. This allows us to remove a lot of mach/dma.h files which don't contain any useful code. Unfortunately though, some platforms put their own private non-ISA definitions into mach/dma.h, so we leave these behind and fix the appropriate #include statments. | * | [ARM] remove a common set of __virt_to_bus definitionsNicolas Pitre2008-11-281-10/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Let's provide an overridable default instead of having every machine class define __virt_to_bus and __bus_to_virt to the same thing. What most platforms are using is bus_addr == phys_addr so such is the default. One exception is ebsa110 which has no DMA what so ever, so the actual definition is not important except only for proper compilation. Also added a comment about the special footbridge bus translation. Let's also remove comments alluding to set_dma_addr which is not (and should not) be commonly used.
