* ARM: OMAP2+: usb-host: Adapt to USB phy-nop RESET line changesRoger Quadros2013-10-041-10/+1
| | | | | | | | | The USB phy-nop nop driver expects the RESET line information to be sent as a GPIO number via platform data. Adapt to that. Acked-by: Tony Lindgren <tony@atomide.com> Signed-off-by: Roger Quadros <rogerq@ti.com> Signed-off-by: Felipe Balbi <balbi@ti.com>
* ARM: OMAP2+: omap-usb-host: Get rid of platform_data from struct usbhs_phy_dataRoger Quadros2013-10-041-1/+10
| | | | | | | | | | | The platform data bits can be inferred from the other members of struct usbhs_phy_data. So get rid of the platform_data member. Build the platform data for the PHY device in usbhs_init_phys() instead. * usb: phy: rename nop_usb_xceiv => usb_phy_gen_xceivSebastian Andrzej Siewior2013-08-091-5/+5
| | | | | | | | | | The "nop" driver isn't a do-nothing-stub but supports a couple functions like clock on/off or is able to use a voltage regulator. This patch simply renames the driver to "generic" since it is easy possible to extend it by a simple function istead of writing a complete driver. The reason was that at this point we really should be able to do the arch/arm related changes separately from driver changes to avoid dependencies between branches. These patches were initially part of the USB related MFD patches. Based on our comments, Roger Quadros quickly reworked these patches into a shared branch between ARM SoC tree and the MFD tree, then separate patches for the OMAP platform data and MFD driver. Note that this branch will conflict with c1d1cd597fc7 ("ARM: OMAP2+: omap_device: remove obsolete pm_lats and early_device code"). | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Let's have a single platform data structure for the OMAP's High-Speed USB host subsystem instead of having 3 separate ones i.e. one for board data, one for USB Host (UHH) module and one for USB-TLL module. This makes the code much simpler and avoids creating multiple copies of platform data. Signed-off-by: Roger Quadros <rogerq@ti.com> Reviewed-by: Felipe Balbi <balbi@ti.com>

|/ | | | | | | | | | | | Remove now-obsolete code from arch/arm/mach-omap2/omap_device.c. This mostly consists of removing the first attempt at device PM latency handling. This was never really used, has been replaced by the common dev_pm_qos code, and needs to go away as part of the DT conversion. Also, the early platform_device creation code has been removed, as it appears to be unused. Signed-off-by: Paul Walmsley <paul@pwsan.com> Cc: Kevin Hilman <khilman@deeprootsystems.com>

| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Instead of using cpu_is_omap..() macros in the device driver we rely on information provided in the platform data. * | ARM: OMAP: Split plat/cpu.h into local soc.h for mach-omap1 and mach-omap2Tony Lindgren2012-10-181-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | We want to remove plat/cpu.h. To do this, let's first split it to private soc.h to mach-omap1 and mach-omap2. We have to keep plat/cpu.h around until the remaining drivers are fixed, so let's include the local soc.h in plat/cpu.h and for drivers still including plat/cpu.h. Once the drivers are fixed not to include plat/cpu.h, we can remove the file. This is needed for the ARM common zImage support. * | ARM: OMAP: Split plat/hardware.h, use local soc.h for omap2+Tony Lindgren2012-09-121-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | As the plat and mach includes need to disappear for single zImage work, we need to remove plat/hardware.h. Do this by splitting plat/hardware.h into omap1 and omap2+ specific files. The old plat/hardware.h already has omap1 only defines, so it gets moved to mach/hardware.h for omap1. For omap2+, we use the local soc.h that for now just includes the related SoC headers to keep this patch more readable. Note that the local soc.h still includes plat/cpu.h that can be dealt with in later patches. Let's also include plat/serial.h from common.h for all the board-*.c files. This allows making the include files local later on without patching these files again. Note that only minimal changes are done in this patch for the drivers/watchdog/omap_wdt.c driver to keep things compiling. Further patches are needed to eventually remove cpu_is_omap usage in the drivers. Also only minimal changes are done to sound/soc/omap/* to remove the unneeded includes and to define OMAP44XX_MCPDM_L3_BASE locally so there's no need to include omap44xx.h. While at it, also sort some of the includes in the standard way. * | ARM: OMAP2+: Prepare for irqs.h removalTony Lindgren2012-09-121-1/+0
|/ | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | As the interrupts should only be defined in the platform_data, and eventually coming from device tree, there's no need to define them in header files. Let's remove the hardcoded references to irqs.h and fix up the includes so we don't rely on headers included in irqs.h. Note that we're defining OMAP_INTC_START as 0 to the interrupts. This will be needed when we enable SPARSE_IRQ. For some drivers we need to add #include <plat/cpu.h> for now until these drivers are fixed to remove cpu_is_omapxxxx() usage. While at it, sort som of the includes the standard way, and add the trailing commas where they are missing in the related data structures. Note that for drivers/staging/tidspbridge we just define things locally. Cc: Paul Walmsley <paul@pwsan.com> Signed-off-by: Tony Lindgren <tony@atomide.com>
