| * [ARM] aaec2000: convert to simple clk APIRussell King2008-11-304-129/+24
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | aaec2000 only uses the clk API for the framebuffer, so there's no point having a complicated implementation. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* | [ARM] Add a common typesafe __io implementationRussell King2008-11-301-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | As Al did for Versatile in 2ad4f86b60b649fd7428265c08d73a3bd360c81b, add a typesafe __io implementation for platforms to use. Convert platforms to use this new simple typesafe implementation. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* | [ARM] Hide ISA DMA API when ISA_DMA_API is unsetRussell King2008-11-291-9/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | When ISA_DMA_API is unset, we're not implementing the ISA DMA API, so there's no point in publishing the prototypes via asm/dma.h, nor including the machine dependent parts of that API. This allows us to remove a lot of mach/dma.h files which don't contain any useful code. Unfortunately though, some platforms put their own private non-ISA definitions into mach/dma.h, so we leave these behind and fix the appropriate #include statments. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* | [ARM] aaec2000: avoid polluting the kernel's namespaceRussell King2008-11-281-2/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Avoid unnecessarily pollution of the kernel's namespace by avoiding mach/hardware.h in mach/io.h. Include this header file where necessary. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* | [ARM] remove a common set of __virt_to_bus definitionsNicolas Pitre2008-11-281-3/+0
|/ | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Let's provide an overridable default instead of having every machine class define __virt_to_bus and __bus_to_virt to the same thing. What most platforms are using is bus_addr == phys_addr so such is the default. One exception is ebsa110 which has no DMA what so ever, so the actual definition is not important except only for proper compilation. Also added a comment about the special footbridge bus translation. Let's also remove comments alluding to set_dma_addr which is not (and should not) be commonly used. Signed-off-by: Nicolas Pitre <nico@marvell.com> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [ARM] Move include/asm-arm/arch-* to arch/arm/*/include/machRussell King2008-08-0715-3/+586
| | | | | | This just leaves include/asm-arm/plat-* to deal with. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [ARM] Remove asm/hardware.h, use asm/arch/hardware.h insteadRussell King2008-08-072-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | Remove includes of asm/hardware.h in addition to asm/arch/hardware.h. Then, since asm/hardware.h only exists to include asm/arch/hardware.h, update everything to directly include asm/arch/hardware.h and remove asm/hardware.h. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* arch: Remove unnecessary inclusions of asm/semaphore.hMatthew Wilcox2008-04-181-2/+0
| | | | | | | | | None of these files use any of the functionality promised by asm/semaphore.h. It's possible that they rely on it dragging in some unrelated header file, but I can't build all these files, so we'll have fix any build failures as they come up. Signed-off-by: Matthew Wilcox <willy@linux.intel.com>
* [ARM] Fix timer damage from d3d74453c34f8fd87674a8cf5b8a327c68f22e99Russell King2008-01-281-4/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | Move the xtime write mode seqlock into timer_tick(), so it only surrounds the call to do_timer(). This avoids a deadlock in update_process_times() ... hrtimer_get_softirq_time() which tries to get a read mode seqlock on xtime, thereby preventing booting. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* Add IRQF_IRQPOLL flag on armBernhard Walle2007-05-081-1/+1

* [PATCH] ARM: fixup irqflags breakage after ARM genirq mergeThomas Gleixner2006-07-021-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | The irgflags consolidation did conflict with the ARM to generic IRQ conversion and was not applied for ARM. Fix it up. Use the new IRQF_ constants and remove the SA_INTERRUPT define Signed-off-by: Thomas Gleixner <tglx@linutronix.de> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>

| | | | | | | | | | | Patch from Bellido Nicolas Patch: [ARM] 2982/1: Replace map_desc.physical with map_desc.pfn: aaec2000 incorrectly expanded the struct map_desc for aaec2000. Signed-off-by: Nicolas Bellido <ml@acolin.be> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [ARM] 3260/1: remove phys_ram from struct machine_desc (part 2)Nicolas Pitre2006-01-131-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | Patch from Nicolas Pitre This field is redundent since it must be equal to PHYS_OFFSET anyway. Now that no code uses it anymore, mark it deprecated and remove all initializations from the tree. Signed-off-by: Nicolas Pitre <nico@cam.org> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [ARM] Convert some arm semaphores to mutexesArjan van de Ven2006-01-121-7/+8
| | | | | | | | The arm clock semaphores are strict mutexes, convert them to the new mutex implementation Signed-off-by: Arjan van de Ven <arjan@infradead.org> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [ARM] Move asm/hardware/clock.h to linux/clk.hRussell King2006-01-071-1/+1

* [ARM] Move AMBA include files to include/linux/amba/Russell King2006-01-072-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | Since the ARM AMBA bus is used on MIPS as well as ARM, we need to make the bus available for other architectures to use. Move the AMBA include files from include/asm-arm/hardware/ to include/linux/amba/ Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [ARM] Remove clk_use()/clk_unuse()Russell King2006-01-031-11/+0
| | | | | | | | | It seems that clk_use() and clk_unuse() are additional complexity which isn't required anymore. Remove them from the clock framework to avoid the additional confusion which they cause, and update all ARM machine types except for OMAP. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [PATCH] fix remaining missing includesTim Schmielau2005-11-071-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | Fix more include file problems that surfaced since I submitted the previous fix-missing-includes.patch. This should now allow not to include sched.h from module.h, which is done by a followup patch. Signed-off-by: Tim Schmielau <tim@physik3.uni-rostock.de> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@osdl.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>
