| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Patch from Kevin Hilman This time with IRQ versions of locks. Rework also enables compatability with realtime-preemption patch. With the current locking via interrupt disabling, under RT, potentially sleeping functions can be called with interrupts disabled. * [ARM] 3345/1: Fix interday RTC alarmsUli Luckas2006-02-221-4/+12
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Patch from Uli Luckas This is a bugfix. The comment in arch/arm/common/rtctime.c explains it: * FIXME: for now, we just copy the alarm time because we're lazy (and * is therefore buggy - setting a 10am alarm at 8pm will not result in * the alarm triggering.) This patch adds one day to the alarm iff the alarm wrapped beyond midnight and therefore appears to be in the past. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The first of these changes s/hotplug/uevent/ was needed to compile sn2_defconfig (ia64/sn). The other three files changed are blind changes of all remaining bus_type.hotplug references I could find to bus_type.uevent. * | [ARM] 3230/1: Sharp Scoop: Fix Shared Power Control IssuesRichard Purdie2006-01-051-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Patch from Richard Purdie The SL-Cxx00 devices have a power control register in SCOOP that is shared by both CF and MMC/SD card slots. The CF reset code was resetting this register leading to various lockups as the MMC power was suddenly lost. This patch handles the CPR register in a more sensitive manner. It also removes some unneeded collie specific calls as the reset code handles this. Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <rpurdie@rpsys.net> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>

|/ | | | | | | | | | | | Patch from Richard Purdie This patch moves a large chunk of the sharpsl_pm driver to arch/arm/common so that it can be reused on other devices such as the SL-5500 (collie). It also abstracts some functions from the core into the machine and platform specific parts of the driver to aid reuse. | | | | | | | | | Unfortunately, using PAGE_SHIFT in asm/arch/memory.h is unsafe, and we can't include asm/page.h into this file because then we have a circular dependency. Move the offending code to arch/arm/common/sa1111.c instead. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>

* [ARM] 3093/1: SharpSL PCMCIA Updates for Cxx00 modelsRichard Purdie2005-11-081-6/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Patch from Richard Purdie The Sharp SL-Cxx00 models have a combined power control for the SD and CF slot 0. This patch adds hooks to the scoop driver to allow machines to provide a custom control function for this and such a function is added for spitz/akita/borzoi. It also moves the gpio init code into the machine files as this is machine dependent and differs between some models. A couple of warnings when compiling for collie are also fixed. * | [PATCH] fix missing includesTim Schmielau2005-10-302-0/+5
|/ | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | I recently picked up my older work to remove unnecessary #includes of sched.h, starting from a patch by Dave Jones to not include sched.h from module.h. This reduces the number of indirect includes of sched.h by ~300. Another ~400 pointless direct includes can be removed after this disentangling (patch to follow later). However, quite a few indirect includes need to be fixed up for this. In order to feed the patches through -mm with as little disturbance as possible, I've split out the fixes I accumulated up to now (complete for i386 and x86_64, more archs to follow later) and post them before the real patch. This way this large part of the patch is kept simple with only adding #includes, and all hunks are independent of each other. So if any hunk rejects or gets in the way of other patches, just drop it. My scripts will pick it up again in the next round. * [PATCH] DRIVER MODEL: Get rid of the obsolete tri-level suspend/resume callbacksRussell King2005-10-283-30/+15
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | In PM v1, all devices were called at SUSPEND_DISABLE level. Then all devices were called at SUSPEND_SAVE_STATE level, and finally SUSPEND_POWER_DOWN level. However, with PM v2, to maintain compatibility for platform devices, I arranged for the PM v2 suspend/resume callbacks to call the old PM v1 suspend/resume callbacks three times with each level in order so that existing drivers continued to work. Since this is obsolete infrastructure which is no longer necessary, we can remove it. Here's an (untested) patch to do exactly that. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@suse.de>

| | | | | | | | | | | | | | hardware Patch from Richard Purdie This patch updates the PCMCIA pxa2xx_sharpsl driver to support multiple scoop devices by adding a scoop to pcmcia slot mapping structure. It adds platform support for poodle, is known to work on spitz (which is dual slot) and should also support collie with a minor amount of further work. Here, we wrap calls to desc->handler() in an inline function, desc_handle_irq(). This reduces the size of Thomas' patch since the changes become more localised.
