The ks8851 SPI ethernet wasn't documented, but we documented the
optional regulator supply for it under the mll based ethernet
chip. Furthermore, that compatible string needed another 'l'. Fix
all of this and document the optional vdd-io and reset-gpios
properties.

Some Ethernet MACs have a "fixed link", and are not connected to a
normal MDIO-managed PHY device. For those situations, a Device Tree
binding allows to describe a "fixed link" using a special PHY node.
This patch adds:
* A documentation for the fixed PHY Device Tree binding.
* An of_phy_is_fixed_link() function that an Ethernet driver can call
on its PHY phandle to find out whether it's a fixed link PHY or
not. It should typically be used to know if
of_phy_register_fixed_link() should be called.
* An of_phy_register_fixed_link() function that instantiates the
fixed PHY into the PHY subsystem, so that when the driver calls
of_phy_connect(), the PHY device associated to the OF node will be
found.
These two additional functions also support the old fixed-link Device
Tree binding used on PowerPC platforms, so that ultimately, the
network device drivers for those platforms could be converted to use
of_phy_is_fixed_link() and of_phy_register_fixed_link() instead of
of_phy_connect_fixed_link(), while keeping compatibility with their
respective Device Tree bindings.

The netlink conflict dealt with moving to netlink_capable() and
netlink_ns_capable() in the 'net' tree vs. supporting 'tc' operations
in non-init namespaces. These were simple transformations from
netlink_capable to netlink_ns_capable.
The Altera driver conflict was simply code removal overlapping some
void pointer cast cleanups in net-next.

For the iwlwifi bits, Emmanuel says:
"I have here a bunch of unrelated things. I disabled support for
-7.ucode which means that I can removed a lot of code. Eliad has
a brand new feature: we reduce the Tx power when the link allows -
this reduces our power consumption. The regular changes in power and
scan area. One interesting thing though is the patches from Johannes,
we have now GRO which allows to increase our throughput in TCP Rx. The
main advantage is that it reduces the number of TCP Acks - these TCP
Acks are completely useless when we are using A-MPDU since the first
packet of the A-MPDU generates a TCP Ack which is made obsolete by
the next packets."
Along with that, there are a variety of updates to b43, mwifiex,
rtl8180 and wil6210 drivers and a handful of other updates here
and there.

Separate the code that counts the interface types and channels from
the code that check the interface combinations. The new function that
checks for combinations is exported so it can be called by the
drivers.
This is done in preparation for moving the interface combinations
checks out of cfg80211.

The aggresive load balancing causes packet re-ordering as active
flows are moved from a slave to another within the group. Sometime
this aggresive lb is not necessary if the preference is for less
re-ordering. This parameter if used with value "0" disables
this dynamic flow shuffling minimizing packet re-ordering. Of course
the side effect is that it has to live with the static load balancing
that the hashing distribution provides. This impact is less severe if
the correct xmit-hashing-policy is used for the tlb setup.
The default value of the parameter is set to "1" mimicing the earlier
behavior.
Ran the netperf test with 200 stream for 1 min between two hosts with
4x1G trunk (xmit-lb mode with xmit-policy L3+4) before and after these
changes. Following was the command used for those 200 instances -
netperf -t TCP_RR -l 60 -s 5 -H <host> -- -r81920,81920
Transactions per second:
Before change: 1,367.11
After change: 1,470.65

Re-organized the xmit function for the lb mode separating tlb xmit
from the alb mode. This will enable use of the hashing policies
like 802.3ad mode. Also extended use of xmit-hash-policy to tlb mode.
Now the tlb-mode defaults to BOND_XMIT_POLICY_LAYER2 if the xmit policy
module parameter is not set (just like 802.3ad, or Xor mode).

This should make the driver usable with VIA/WonderMedia ARM-based
Systems-on-Chip integrated Rhine III adapters. Note that these

Added a new ancillary load (bpf call in eBPF parlance) that produces
a 32-bit random number. We are implementing it as an ancillary load
(instead of an ISA opcode) because (a) it is simpler, (b) allows easy
JITing, and (c) seems more in line with generic ISAs that do not have
"get a random number" as a instruction, but as an OS call.
The main use for this ancillary load is to perform random packet sampling.

The glue around the core designware IP is significantly different between
the Exynos and i.MX implementation, which is reflected in the DT bindings.
This changes the i.MX6 binding to reuse as much as possible from the common
designware binding and removes old cruft.
I removed the optional GPIOs with the following reasoning:
- disable-gpio: endpoint specific GPIO, not currently wired up in any code.
Should be handled by the PCI device driver, not the host controller
driver.
- wake-up-gpio: same as above.
- power-on-gpio: No user in any upstream DT. This should be handled by a
regulator which shouldn't be controlled by the host driver, but rather by
the PCI device driver.

"These are fixups on top of the previous PM+ACPI pull request,

- I didn't remember correctly that the Hans de Goede's ACPI video
patches actually didn't flip the video.use_native_backlight

- ACPI bus check notifications for PCI host bridges don't cause the
bus below the host bridge to be checked for changes as they should

- Revert recent cpufreq commit related to the big.LITTLE cpufreq

during the 3.15 cycle and causing the driver to use the remainder

Douglas Anderson, recently pointed out an interesting problem due to which
udelay() was expiring earlier than it should.
While transitioning between frequencies few platforms may temporarily switch to
a stable frequency, waiting for the main PLL to stabilize.
For example: When we transition between very low frequencies on exynos, like
between 200MHz and 300MHz, we may temporarily switch to a PLL running at 800MHz.
No CPUFREQ notification is sent for that. That means there's a period of time
when we're running at 800MHz but loops_per_jiffy is calibrated at between 200MHz
and 300MHz. And so udelay behaves badly.
To get this fixed in a generic way, introduce another set of callbacks
get_intermediate() and target_intermediate(), only for drivers with
target_index() and CPUFREQ_ASYNC_NOTIFICATION unset.
get_intermediate() should return a stable intermediate frequency platform wants
to switch to, and target_intermediate() should set CPU to that frequency,
before jumping to the frequency corresponding to 'index'. Core will take care of
sending notifications and driver doesn't have to handle them in
target_intermediate() or target_index().
NOTE: ->target_index() should restore to policy->restore_freq in case of
failures as core would send notifications for that.

The TI55231 appears to be fully compatible to the 5523 model from

The non-DT driver allowed an active low property to be specified, but DT
is missing this in its description. Add the property to the DT binding
document, making it optional. It defaults to active high, which retains
compatibility with existing descriptions.
This should only be used for causes where the LED is wired to supply,
and the PWM does not sensibly support its own inversion.

Some oscillators can be turned off during off-idle saving few
a little bit power at the cost of the oscillator start up
latency.
If you board can do this, you can now enable it by using the
ti,twl4030-power-idle-osc-off compatible flag.

These settings are based on the "Recommended Sleep Sequences for
the Zoom Platform".
The settings assume most of the regulators are under control of
Linux, and twl4030 only cuts off VDD1 and VDD2 during off-idle as
Linux cannot do it.
For any board specific changes to these, let's patch them in as
changes to the generic data in the follow-up patches. This keeps
the board specific changes small.
Note that this does not consider the twl5030 errata 27 and 28.
That can be added later on after it has been tested. For more
information about errata 27 and 28.

The twl4030 PMIC needs to be configured properly for things like
warm reset and deeper idle states so the PMIC manages the regulators
properly based on the hardware triggers from the SoC. Earlier
we have configured twl4030 using platform data, but we want to
do it for device tree based booting also.
In some cases configuring twl4030 is needed for things to work.
For example, when rebooting an OMAP3530 at 125 MHz, it hangs.
With this patch, TWL4030 will be reset when a warm reset occures,
and OMAP3530 does not hang on reboot.
Let's add device tree support and configure things for warm reset
as the default when compatible = "ti,twl4030-power". More
complicated configurations can be added to the driver based on
other compatible flags.
Note we now also make the pdata const like it should be.
This allows use it for match->data with the device tree
related functions.

drm/panel: Changes for v3.16-rc1
This set of commits contains a couple of fixes to existing panel drivers
and support for some new panels.
One commit touches the DRM core in that in modifies the MIPI DSI support
to hook up the shutdown function so that drivers can provide code that's
run on shutdown. This is used by a subsequent commit to make the simple
panel driver power off the backlight on shutdown.
