* USB: Dealias -110 code (more complete)Pete Zaitcev2006-09-271-7/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The purpose of this patch is to split off the case when a device does not reply on the lower level (which is reported by HC hardware), and a case when the device accepted the request, but does not reply at upper level. This redefinition allows to diagnose issues easier, without asking the user if the -110 happened "immediately". The usbmon splits such cases already thanks to its timestamp, but it's not always available. I adjusted all drivers which I found affected (by searching for "urb"). Out of tree drivers may suffer a little bit, but I do not expect much breakage. At worst they may print a few messages. * [PATCH] USB: drivers/usb/media/w9968cf.c: remove hooks for the vpp moduleAdrian Bunk2006-01-311-25/+5
| | | | | | | | | | | | | - the w9968cf-vpp module is not intended for inclusion into the kernel - the upstream w9968cf package shipping the w9968cf-vpp module suggests to simply replace the w9968cf module shipped with the kernel Therefore, there seems to be no good reason spending some bytes of kernel memory for hooks for the w9968cf-vpp module. | | | | | | | | | | The patch which went in was correct, but not quite what I had in mind. Here is a patch to update that a little bit. Original patch is at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux-2.6.git;a=commit;h=4749f32da939d4e4160541b2cadc22492bb507ec Signed-off-by: Pete Zaitcev <zaitcev@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@suse.de> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>

* [PATCH] USB: Patch to make usbmon to print control setup packetsPete Zaitcev2005-07-121-8/+21
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Make usbmon to print Setup packets of Control transfers. This is useful when debugging enumeration issues. This is a change to the trace format which is not fully compatible. A parser has to look at the data length word now. If that word is a character like 's', read setup packet before proceeding with data. I decided not to bump the API tag for this because not many such parsers exist at this point. * Linux-2.6.12-rc2v2.6.12-rc2Linus Torvalds2005-04-1626-0/+5129
Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
