| * devicetree: Dialog Semiconductor consolidate existing vendor prefixes to ↵Steve Twiss2014-08-291-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | standardise on 'dlg' This patch series updates the device tree vendor prefix for Dialog Semiconductor. Various methods are currently used throughout the kernel: 'diasemi', 'dialog' and 'dlg'. Others have also been suggested. This patch set aims to consolidate the usage of the vendor prefix to use a common standard. The prefix 'dlg' is used. | | | |/ | | |/| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The ISL9305 and ISL9305H are mini-PMICs offering two DCDC regulators and two LDO regulators. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Silergy SYR82x regulators share the exact same functionality and register layout as the Fairchild FAN53555 regulators. Therefore extend the driver to add support for them. Both types use the same vendor id in their ID1 register, so it's not possible to distinguish them automatically. Similarly, the types also do not match. Type 8 used by the SYR827 and SYR828 start at 712.5mV and increment in 12.5mv steps, while the FAN53555 type 8 starts at 600mV and increments in 10mV steps. By going with unique allocation per register, we are able to now have a single compatible driver for all instances on all platforms which use the IP block. So, introduce a new "ti,abb-v3" compatible to allow for definitions where explicit register definitions are provided, while maintaining backward compatibility of older predefined register offsets provided by "ti-abb-v1" and "ti-abb-v2". | * regulator: palmas: add support for external control of railsLaxman Dewangan2013-09-171-3/+9
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Palmas rails like LDOs, SMPSs, REGENs, SYSENs can be enable and disable by register programming through I2C communication as well as it can be enable/disable with the external control input ENABLE1, ENABLE2 and NSLEEP. Add support for configuring these rails to be controlled by external control inputs. This is require to configure the rail's control register as well as configuration of resource register. Provide the external input names through parameter "roof-floor". Updated the DT binding document to details different value of the roof-floor. | |/ | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch adds basic Device Tree support to the da9210 regulator driver - with no special properties, since also driver's platform data only contains standard regulator initialisation parameters. | * | regulator: core: add support for configuring turn-on time through constraintsLaxman Dewangan2013-09-181-0/+5
| |/ | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The turn-on time of the regulator depends on the regulator device's electrical characteristics. Sometimes regulator turn-on time also depends on the capacitive load on the given platform and it can be more than the datasheet value. The driver provides the enable-time as per datasheet. Add support for configure the enable ramp time through regulator constraints so that regulator core can take this value for enable time for that regulator. * | regulator: as3722: add regulator driver for AMS AS3722Laxman Dewangan2013-09-201-0/+91
|/ | | | | | | | | | | | | The AMS AS3722 is a compact system PMU suitable for mobile phones, tablets etc. It has 4 DCDC step down regulators, 3 DCDC step down controller, 11 LDOs. Add a driver to support accessing the DCDC/LDOs found on the AMS AS3722 PMIC using regulators.
