From a89c33db96a1e55319a286dd4c3c05ca64ac6bfd Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Wolfgang Denk Date: Sun, 24 May 2009 17:06:54 +0200 Subject: General help message cleanup Many of the help messages were not really helpful; for example, many commands that take no arguments would not print a correct synopsis line, but "No additional help available." which is not exactly wrong, but not helpful either. Commit ``Make "usage" messages more helpful.'' changed this partially. But it also became clear that lots of "Usage" and "Help" messages (fields "usage" and "help" in struct cmd_tbl_s respective) were actually redundant. This patch cleans this up - for example: Before: => help dtt dtt - Digital Thermometer and Thermostat Usage: dtt - Read temperature from digital thermometer and thermostat. After: => help dtt dtt - Read temperature from Digital Thermometer and Thermostat Usage: dtt Signed-off-by: Wolfgang Denk --- common/cmd_mp.c | 7 ++++--- 1 file changed, 4 insertions(+), 3 deletions(-) (limited to 'common/cmd_mp.c') diff --git a/common/cmd_mp.c b/common/cmd_mp.c index a0839c2fbb..faa8700132 100644 --- a/common/cmd_mp.c +++ b/common/cmd_mp.c @@ -78,7 +78,7 @@ cpu_cmd(cmd_tbl_t *cmdtp, int flag, int argc, char *argv[]) " Default for r3 is and r6 is 0\n" \ "\n" \ " When cpu is released r4 and r5 = 0.\n" \ - " r7 will contain the size of the initial mapped area\n" + " r7 will contain the size of the initial mapped area" #endif U_BOOT_CMD( @@ -86,8 +86,9 @@ U_BOOT_CMD( "Multiprocessor CPU boot manipulation and release", " reset - Reset cpu \n" "cpu status - Status of cpu \n" - "cpu release [args] - Release cpu at with [args]\n" + "cpu release [args] - Release cpu at with [args]" #ifdef CPU_ARCH_HELP + "\n" CPU_ARCH_HELP #endif - ); +); -- cgit v1.2.1
