* TI:OMAP4: enable EXT support in SPL for OMAP4 boardsGuillaume GARDET2014-10-271-0/+3
| | | | | | | | | Enable EXT support in SPL for OMAP4 boards. Build tested for duovero, omap4_sdp4430 and omap4_panda. Run time tested on omap4_panda. Signed-off-by: Guillaume GARDET <guillaume.gardet@free.fr> Cc: Tom Rini <trini@ti.com>
* OMAP4: Use generic 'load' command instead of 'fatload' for 'loadbootscript' ↵Guillaume GARDET2014-09-171-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | and 'loadbootenv' as already done for 'loadimage' and 'loaduimage'. This patch uses generic 'load' command instead of 'fatload' for 'loadbootscript' and 'loadbootenv' as already done for 'loadimage' and 'loaduimage' for OMAP4 boards. This allows to use EXT partition instead of FAT, while keeping FAT compatibility. Signed-off-by: Guillaume GARDET <guillaume.gardet@free.fr> Cc: Tom Rini <trini@ti.com>
* omap4: kconfig: move board select menu and common settingsMasahiro Yamada2014-08-301-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | Becuase the board select menu in arch/arm/Kconfig is too big, move the OMAP4 board select menu to omap4/Kconfig. Move also common settings (CONFIG_SYS_CPU="armv7" and CONFIG_SYS_SOC="omap4"). * omap4: duovero: Add Gumstix DuoVero machine.Ash Charles2014-05-231-0/+9
| | | | | | | | | | | | This adds the Gumstix DuoVero machine [1]. This is a OMAP4430-based computer-on-module (COM aka SOM) that can be mounted on various expansion boards with different peripherals. * TI:armv7: Change Falcon Mode DT load addressTom Rini2014-04-171-0/+2
| | | | | | | | In general, we want to load the DT at base+128MB, so that we ahve sufficient room for the kernel and a larger device tree. In the case of OMAP3, use 64MB instead as we have a number of boards with 128MB DDR. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@ti.com>
* TI: Add, use a DEFAULT_LINUX_BOOT_ENV environment stringTom Rini2014-04-171-3/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | To deal with a reoccurring problem properly we need to specify addresses for the Linux kernel, Flatted Device Tree and ramdisk that obey the constraints within the kernel's Documentation/arm/Booting file but also make sure that we relocate things within a valid address range. It is possible with these addresses to also set fdt_high and initrd_high to the value of 0xffffffff. We don't do this by default to allow for the most likely success of people using custom addresses however. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@ti.com>
* omap4_common: config: remove I2C for SPL modeNishanth Menon2014-02-211-0/+6
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Commit 6789e84ecaa8f45d053084e08c381284a04abff7 (i2c, omap24xx: convert driver to new mutlibus/mutliadapter framework) intended to make I2C driver compatible with latest changes. It unfortunately has had a impact on size on SPL as well. For example on SDP4430, 32032 bytes before/MLO 35416 bytes after/MLO With this mentioned commit, MLO stops booting on SDP4430 as only 32K is accessible for non-secure (bootloader) s/w on GP devices and the size increase to 56K fails boot. On the latest u-boot commit e7be18225fbea76d1f0034b224f0d1e60f07cfcf, MLO is now at size 35592 bytes, However, I2C is not necessary for SPL to function as we use SR_I2C for controlling the PMIC. Disabling I2C reduces MLO to 32224 bytes which allows OMAP4 GP platform to boot up. Since this is common for all OMAP4 platforms, remove the need for I2C for SPL builds in the common config.
