* powerpc/85xx: Bump up the CONFIG_SYS_BOOTM_LEN to 16M on FSL 85xx boardsKumar Gala2011-01-141-0/+1
| | | | | | | CONFIG_SYS_BOOTMAPSZ has been 16M on these boards for some time so we should also allow the kernel image to be up to 16M decompressed. Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
* powerpc/85xx: Convert MPC8548CDS to use common SRIO init codeKumar Gala2011-01-141-7/+8
| | | | Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
* powerpc/85xx: Rework MPC8548CDS pci_init_board to use common FSL PCIe codeKumar Gala2011-01-141-1/+2
| | | | | | | | Remove duplicated code in MPC8548CDS board and utilize the common fsl_pcie_init_board(). We also now dynamically setup the LAWs for PCI controllers based on which PCIe controllers are enabled. Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
* 85xx boards: Rename CONFIG_DDR_DLL to CONFIG_SYS_FSL_ERRATUM_DDR_MSYNC_INBecky Bruce2011-01-141-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | This config option is for an erratum workaround; rename it to be more clear. Also, drop it from config files don't need it and were undefining it. Signed-off-by: Becky Bruce <beckyb@kernel.crashing.org> Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
* Replace CONFIG_SYS_GBL_DATA_SIZE by auto-generated valueWolfgang Denk2010-10-261-2/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | CONFIG_SYS_GBL_DATA_SIZE has always been just a bad workarond for not being able to use "sizeof(struct global_data)" in assembler files. Recent experience has shown that manual synchronization is not reliable enough. This patch renames CONFIG_SYS_GBL_DATA_SIZE into GENERATED_GBL_DATA_SIZE which gets automatically generated by the asm-offsets tool. In the result, all definitions of this value can be deleted from the board config files. We have to make sure that all files that reference such data include the new <asm-offsets.h> file. No other changes have been done yet, but it is obvious that similar changes / simplifications can be done for other, related macro definitions as well. * Rename CONFIG_SYS_INIT_RAM_END into CONFIG_SYS_INIT_RAM_SIZEWolfgang Denk2010-10-261-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | CONFIG_SYS_INIT_RAM_END was a misnomer as it suggests this might be some end address; to make the meaning more clear we rename it into CONFIG_SYS_INIT_RAM_SIZE No other code changes are performed in this patch, only minor editing of white space (due to the changed length) and the comments was done, where noticed. Note that the code for the PATI and cmi_mpc5xx board configurations looks seriously broken. * powerpc: Cleanup BOOTFLAG_* referencesPeter Tyser2010-10-181-8/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | Now that warm booting is not supported, there isn't a need for the BOOTFLAG_COLD and BOOTFLAG_WARM defines, so remove them. Note that this change makes the board info bd_bootflags field useless. It will always be set to 0, but we leave it around so that we don't break the board info structure that some OSes are expecting to be passed from U-Boot. Signed-off-by: Peter Tyser <ptyser@xes-inc.com>
* Makefile: move all Power Architecture boards into boards.cfgWolfgang Denk2010-10-181-0/+4
| | | | | | | | | | Clean up Makefile, and drop a lot of the config.mk files on the way. We now also automatically pick all boards that are listed in boards.cfg (and with all configurations), so we can drop the redundant entries from MAKEALL to avoid building these twice. Signed-off-by: Wolfgang Denk <wd@denx.de>
* Rename TEXT_BASE into CONFIG_SYS_TEXT_BASEWolfgang Denk2010-10-181-6/+6
| | | | | | | | | | | | The change is currently needed to be able to remove the board configuration scripting from the top level Makefile and replace it by a simple, table driven script. Moving this configuration setting into the "CONFIG_*" name space is also desirable because it is needed if we ever should move forward to a Kconfig driven configuration system. Signed-off-by: Wolfgang Denk <wd@denx.de>
* Remove unused CONFIG_SERIAL_SOFTWARE_FIFO featureStefan Roese2010-09-231-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | This patch removes the completely unused CONFIG_SERIAL_SOFTWARE_FIFO feature from U-Boot. It has only been implemented for PPC4xx and was not used at all. So let's remove it and make the code smaller and cleaner. Signed-off-by: Stefan Roese <sr@denx.de> Acked-by: Detlev Zundel <dzu@denx.de>
* powerpc/85xx: configure autocompletion supportKim Phillips2010-08-011-1/+2
| | | | | | | because it's convenient. Signed-off-by: Kim Phillips <kim.phillips@freescale.com> Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
* powerpc/85xx: Move PCI/PCIe address defines into common immap_85xx.hKumar Gala2010-07-201-4/+0
| | | | | | | Remove dupliacted setting of PCI/PCIe address and offsets in board config.h. Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
* mpc85xx: Add reginfo commandBecky Bruce2010-07-161-0/+1
| | | | | | | | The new command dumps the TLBCAM, the LAWs, and the BR/OR regs. Add CONFIG_CMD_REGINFO to the config for all MPC85xx parts. Signed-off-by: Becky Bruce <beckyb@kernel.crashing.org> Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
* common: delete CONFIG_SYS_64BIT_VSPRINTF and CONFIG_SYS_64BIT_STRTOULHeiko Schocher2009-12-081-3/+0
| | | | | | | | | There is more and more usage of printing 64bit values, so enable this feature generally, and delete the CONFIG_SYS_64BIT_VSPRINTF and CONFIG_SYS_64BIT_STRTOUL defines. Signed-off-by: Heiko Schocher <hs@denx.de>
* 85xx: Remove unused CONFIG_ASSUME_AMD_FLASH from config filesBecky Bruce2009-12-021-7/+0
| | | | | | | A bunch of the 85xx boards have this cruft in them - it's not used anywhere. Delete it. Signed-off-by: Becky Bruce <beckyb@kernel.crashing.org>

* 85xx: Bump up the BOOTMAP to 16M on FSL 85xx boardsKumar Gala2009-07-211-2/+2
| | | | | | | | We have always mapped at least 16M in the kernel and we have seen cases with new kernel features that a kernel image needs more than 8M of memory. Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
* 85xx: Use common LSDMR defines from asm/fsl_lbc.hKumar Gala2009-03-301-30/+7

* 85xx: Introduce CONFIG_SYS_PCI*_IO_VIRT for FSL boardsKumar Gala2009-01-231-0/+3
| | | | | | | | | Introduce a new define to seperate out the virtual address that PCI IO space is at from the physical address. In most situations these are mapped 1:1. However any code accessing the bus should use VIRT. Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org> Acked-by: Andy Fleming <afleming@freescale.com>
* 85xx: Introduce CONFIG_SYS_PCI*_MEM_VIRT for FSL boardsKumar Gala2009-01-231-3/+8

* 85xx: remove the unused ddr_enable_ecc in the board fileDave Liu2008-12-031-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | The DDR controller of 8548/8544/8568/8572/8536 processors have the ECC data init feature, and the new DDR code is using the feature, and we don't need the way with DMA to init memory any more. * 85xx: Convert all fsl_pci_init users to new APIsKumar Gala2008-10-241-5/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | Converted ATUM8548, MPC8536DS, MPC8544DS, MPC8548CDS, MPC8568MDS, MPC8572DS, TQM85xx, and SBC8548 to use fsl_pci_setup_inbound_windows() and ft_fsl_pci_setup(). With these changes the board code is a bit smaller and we get dma-ranges set in the device tree for these boards. * Update Freescale 85xx boards to sys_eeprom.cTimur Tabi2008-09-091-2/+7
| | | | | | | | | The new sys_eeprom.c supports both the old CCID EEPROM format and the new NXID format, and so it obsoletes board/freescale/common/cds_eeprom.c. Freescale 86xx boards already use sys_eeprom.c, so this patch migrates the remaining Freescale 85xx boards to use it as well. cds_eeprom.c is deleted. Signed-off-by: Timur Tabi <timur@freescale.com>

* 85xx: remove dummy board_early_init_fKumar Gala2008-06-111-2/+0
| | | | | | | A number of board ports have empty version of board_early_init_f for no reason since we control its via CONFIG_BOARD_EARLY_INIT_F. Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
* 85xx: Remove unused and unconfigured memory test code.Kumar Gala2008-06-111-1/+0
| | | | | | | Remove unused and unconfigured DDR test code from FSL 85xx boards. Besides, other common code exists. Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
* FSL: Clean up board/freescale/common/MakefileJon Loeliger2008-03-261-0/+5
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Each file that can be built here now follows some CONFIG_ option so that they are appropriately built or not, as needed. And CONFIG_ defines were added to various board config files to make sure that happens. The other board/freescale/*/Makefiles no longer need to reach up and over into ../common to build their individually needed files any more. Boards that are CDS specific were renamed with cds_ prefix. Signed-off-by: Jon Loeliger <jdl@freescale.com>
* 85xx: Add the concept of CFG_CCSRBAR_PHYSKumar Gala2008-03-261-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | When we go to 36-bit physical addresses we need to keep the concept of the physical CCSRBAR address seperate from the virtual one. For the majority of boards CFG_CCSBAR_PHYS == CFG_CCSRBAR Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
* 85xx: Get ride of old TLB setup codeKumar Gala2008-01-171-1/+0

* Update MPC85xx CDS to use libfdtKumar Gala2007-12-111-8/+3
| | | | | | | Updated the MPC85xx CDS config to use libfdt and assume use of aliases for ethernet, pci, and serial for the various fixups that are done. Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
* Improve handling of PCI interrupt device tree fixup on MPC85xx CDSKumar Gala2007-10-191-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | On the MPC85xx CDS we have two issues: 1. The device tree fixup code did not check to see if the property we are trying to update is actually found. Its possible that it would update random memory starting at 0. 2. Newer Linux kernel's have moved the location of the PCI nodes to be sibilings of the soc node and not children. The explicit PATH to the PCI node would not be found for these device trees. Add the ability to handle both paths. In the future we shouldn't handle such fixups by explicit path. * Add CONFIG_HAS_ETH0 to all boards with TSECAndy Fleming2007-08-161-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | The 85xx code now relies on CONFIG_HAS_ETH0 to determine whether to update TSEC1's device-tree node, so we need to add it to all the boards with TSECs. Do this for 83xx and 86xx, too, since they will eventually do something similar. Signed-off-by: Andy Fleming <afleming@freescale.com>
