* ppc4xx: Use common NS16550 driver for PPC4xx UARTStefan Roese2010-09-231-1/+6
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch removes the PPC4xx UART driver. Instead the common NS16550 driver is used, since all PPC4xx SoC's use this peripheral device. The file 4xx_uart.c now only implements the UART clock calculation function which also sets the SoC internal UART divisors. All PPC4xx board config headers are changed to use this common NS16550 driver now. Tested on these boards: acadia, canyonlands, katmai, kilauea, sequoia, zeus Signed-off-by: Stefan Roese <sr@denx.de>
* ppc4xx: Big header cleanup part 2, mostly PPC405 relatedStefan Roese2010-09-231-6/+6
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This cleanup is done by creating header files for all SoC versions and moving the SoC specific defines into these special headers. This way the common header ppc405.h and ppc440.h can be cleaned up finally. As a part from this cleanup, the GPIO definitions for PPC405EP are corrected. The high and low parts of the registers (for example CONFIG_SYS_GPIO0_OSRL vs. CONFIG_SYS_GPIO0_OSRH) have been defined in the wrong order. This patch now fixes this issue by switching these xxxH and xxxL values. This brings the GPIO 405EP port in sync with all other PPC4xx ports. Signed-off-by: Stefan Roese <sr@denx.de>
* i2c: Move PPC4xx I2C driver into drivers/i2c directoryStefan Roese2010-04-061-0/+1
| | | | | | | | This patch moves the PPC4xx specific I2C device driver into the I2C drivers directory. All 4xx config headers are updated to include this driver. Signed-off-by: Stefan Roese <sr@denx.de>
* common: delete CONFIG_SYS_64BIT_VSPRINTF and CONFIG_SYS_64BIT_STRTOULHeiko Schocher2009-12-081-2/+0
| | | | | | | | | There is more and more usage of printing 64bit values, so enable this feature generally, and delete the CONFIG_SYS_64BIT_VSPRINTF and CONFIG_SYS_64BIT_STRTOUL defines. Signed-off-by: Heiko Schocher <hs@denx.de>
* NAND: Fix warning Please define CONFIG_SYS_64BIT_VSPRINTF...Wolfgang Denk2009-07-181-0/+2
| | | | | | | | Commit 8d2effea added a warning for configurations that use NAND without defining the (then necessary) CONFIG_SYS_64BIT_VSPRINTF but failed to fix the affected boards. Signed-off-by: Wolfgang Denk <wd@denx.de>
* 4xx: Remove binary cpld bitstream from CMS700 boardMatthias Fuchs2009-06-121-48/+5
| | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch removes the cpld binary bitstream that is used by esd's cpld command on CMS700 boards. Because u-boot with an external cpld bitstream may not take more space in flash than before the u-boot binary is shrinked a little bit. Some unused featues have been removed therefore. * ppc4xx: Remove CONFIG_SYS_IGNORE_405_UART_ERRATA_59 from config filesMatthias Fuchs2009-01-261-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | Lot's of 405 board config files use CONFIG_SYS_IGNORE_405_UART_ERRATA_59. Either they define or undef it. Because it's not used in any source files this patch removes any references to it. Signed-off-by: Matthias Fuchs <matthias.fuchs@esd-electronics.com> Signed-off-by: Stefan Roese <sr@denx.de>
* NAND: rename NAND_MAX_CHIPS to CONFIG_SYS_NAND_MAX_CHIPSWolfgang Grandegger2009-01-231-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch renames NAND_MAX_CHIPS to CONFIG_SYS_NAND_MAX_CHIPS and changes the default from 8 to 1 for the legacy and the new MTD NAND layer. This allows to remove all NAND_MAX_CHIPS definitions in the board config files because none of the boards use multi chip support (NAND_MAX_CHIPS > 1) so far. The bamboo and the DU440 define #define NAND_MAX_CHIPS CONFIG_SYS_MAX_NAND_DEVICE but that's bogus and did not work anyhow. * ppc4xx: Remove cache definition from 4xx board config filesStefan Roese2007-10-311-10/+0
| | | | | | | All 4xx board config files don't need the cache definitions anymore. These are now defined in common headers. Signed-off-by: Stefan Roese <sr@denx.de>
* NAND: Add CFG_NAND_QUIET optionMatthias Fuchs2007-09-151-1/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This config option sets the default for the progress information output behavior that can also be configured through the 'quiet' environment variable. The legacy NAND code does not print the current progress info on the console. So this option is for backward compatibility for units that are in the field and where setting the quiet variable is not an option. With CFG_NAND_QUIET set to '1' the console progress info is turned off. This can still be overwritten through the environment variable.
