* ARM: tegra: support running in non-secure modeStephen Warren2015-03-041-0/+9
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | When the CPU is in non-secure (NS) mode (when running U-Boot under a secure monitor), certain actions cannot be taken, since they would need to write to secure-only registers. One example is configuring the ARM architectural timer's CNTFRQ register. We could support this in one of two ways: 1) Compile twice, once for secure mode (in which case anything goes) and once for non-secure mode (in which case certain actions are disabled). This complicates things, since everyone needs to keep track of different U-Boot binaries for different situations. 2) Detect NS mode at run-time, and optionally skip any impossible actions. This has the advantage of a single U-Boot binary working in all cases. (2) is not possible on ARM in general, since there's no architectural way to detect secure-vs-non-secure. However, there is a Tegra-specific way to detect this. This patches uses that feature to detect secure vs. NS mode on Tegra, and uses that to: * Skip the ARM arch timer initialization. * Set/clear an environment variable so that boot scripts can take different action depending on which mode the CPU is in. This might be something like: if CPU is secure: load secure monitor code into RAM. boot secure monitor. secure monitor will restart (a new copy of) U-Boot in NS mode. else: execute normal boot process Signed-off-by: Stephen Warren <swarren@nvidia.com> Signed-off-by: Tom Warren <twarren@nvidia.com>
* ARM: tegra: Implement XUSB pad controllerThierry Reding2014-12-181-0/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This controller was introduced on Tegra114 to handle XUSB pads. On Tegra124 it is also used for PCIe and SATA pin muxing and PHY control. Only the Tegra124 PCIe and SATA functionality is currently implemented, with weak symbols on Tegra114. Tegra20 and Tegra30 also provide weak symbols for these functions so that drivers can use the same API irrespective of which SoC they're being built for. The driver is adjusted to use driver model and the following obsolete CONFIGs are removed: - CONFIG_SYS_I2C_INIT_BOARD - CONFIG_I2C_MULTI_BUS - CONFIG_SYS_MAX_I2C_BUS - CONFIG_SYS_I2C_SPEED - CONFIG_SYS_I2C This has been tested on: - trimslice (no I2C) - beaver - Jetson-TK1 It has not been tested on Tegra 114 as I don't have that board. * kbuild: change out-of-tree buildMasahiro Yamada2014-02-191-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This commit changes the working directory where the build process occurs. Before this commit, build process occurred under the source tree for both in-tree and out-of-tree build. That's why we needed to add $(obj) prefix to all generated files in makefiles like follows: $(obj)u-boot.bin: $(obj)u-boot Here, $(obj) is empty for in-tree build, whereas it points to the output directory for out-of-tree build. And our old build system changes the current working directory with "make -C <sub-dir>" syntax when descending into the sub-directories. On the other hand, Kbuild uses a different idea to handle out-of-tree build and directory descending. The build process of Kbuild always occurs under the output tree. When "O=dir/to/store/output/files" is given, the build system changes the current working directory to that directory and restarts the make. Kbuild uses "make -f $(srctree)/scripts/Makefile.build obj=<sub-dir>" syntax for descending into sub-directories. (We can write it like "make $(obj)=<sub-dir>" with a shorthand.) This means the current working directory is always the top of the output directory. Signed-off-by: Masahiro Yamada <yamada.m@jp.panasonic.com> Tested-by: Gerhard Sittig <gsi@denx.de>

| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | __pinmux_nand() won't compile if PERIPH_ID_NDFLASH isn't defined. | | | | | | | | | | If timer_init() is made a weak stub function, then it allows us to remove several empty timer_init functions for those boards that already have a timer initialized when u-boot starts. * tegra: add SPI SLINK driverAllen Martin2013-02-111-1/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Add driver for tegra SPI "SLINK" style driver. This controller is similar to the tegra20 SPI "SFLASH" controller. The difference is that the SLINK controller is a genernal purpose SPI controller and the SFLASH controller is special purpose and can only talk to FLASH devices. In addition there are potentially many instances of an SLINK controller on tegra and only a single instance of SFLASH. Tegra20 is currently ths only version of tegra that instantiates an SFLASH controller. This driver supports basic PIO mode of operation and is configurable (CONFIG_OF_CONTROL) to be driven off devicetree bindings. Up to 4 devices per controller may be attached, although typically only a single chip select line is exposed from tegra per controller so in reality this is usually limited to 1. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Rename board provided gpio_config_uart() to gpio_early_init_uart() as it does the same thing as the equally called function provided by the uart-switch code.
