* imx: fix coding styleFabio Estevam2011-10-271-3/+3
| | | | | | | | | Fix checkpatch warning and errors in several i.MX related files. While at it also address a checkpatch warning at arch/arm/cpu/armv7/mx5/soc.c regarding the usage of extern in a C file. Signed-off-by: Fabio Estevam <fabio.estevam@freescale.com>
* punt unused clean/distclean targetsMike Frysinger2011-10-151-6/+0
| | | | | | | | | | The top level Makefile does not do any recursion into subdirs when cleaning, so these clean/distclean targets in random arch/board dirs never get used. Punt them all. MAKEALL didn't report any errors related to this that I could see. Signed-off-by: Mike Frysinger <vapier@gentoo.org>
* Makefile : fix generation of cpu related asm-offsets.hStefano Babic2011-09-071-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | commit 0edf8b5b2fa0d210ebc4d6da0fd1aceeb7e44e47 breaks building on a different directory with the O= parameter. The patch wil fix this issue, generating always asm-offsets.h before the other targets. * Remove volatile qualifier in get_ram_size() callsAlbert ARIBAUD2011-07-171-3/+3
| | | | | | | | | Checkpatch.pl complains about the volatile qualifier in calls to get_ram_size(). Remove this qualifier in the prototype and in the calls where it is useless, and leave it only in the function body where it is needed. Signed-off-by: Albert ARIBAUD <albert.u.boot@aribaud.net>
* mx27: Make the UART port number explicitFabio Estevam2011-07-141-1/+1
| | | | | | | | mx27_uart_init_pins does the IOMUX setting for UART1 port. Change the function name to make the UART port number explicit. Signed-off-by: Fabio Estevam <fabio.estevam@freescale.com>
* imx27lite: Remove local config.mkFabio Estevam2011-06-071-5/+0
| | | | | | | | Local board config.mk should be avoided. Place CONFIG_SYS_TEXT_BASE definition into the board config file instead. Signed-off-by: Fabio Estevam <fabio.estevam@freescale.com>
* Switch from archive libraries to partial linkingSebastien Carlier2010-11-171-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Before this commit, weak symbols were not overridden by non-weak symbols found in archive libraries when linking with recent versions of binutils. As stated in the System V ABI, "the link editor does not extract archive members to resolve undefined weak symbols". This commit changes all Makefiles to use partial linking (ld -r) instead of creating library archives, which forces all symbols to participate in linking, allowing non-weak symbols to override weak symbols as intended. This approach is also used by Linux, from which the gmake function cmd_link_o_target (defined in config.mk and used in all Makefiles) is inspired. The name of each former library archive is preserved except for extensions which change from ".a" to ".o". This commit updates references accordingly where needed, in particular in some linker scripts. This commit reveals board configurations that exclude some features but include source files that depend these disabled features in the build, resulting in undefined symbols. Known such cases include: - disabling CMD_NET but not CMD_NFS; - enabling CONFIG_OF_LIBFDT but not CONFIG_QE. Signed-off-by: Sebastien Carlier <sebastien.carlier@gmail.com>

* | Rename TEXT_BASE into CONFIG_SYS_TEXT_BASEWolfgang Denk2010-10-181-1/+1
|/ | | | | | | | | | | | The change is currently needed to be able to remove the board configuration scripting from the top level Makefile and replace it by a simple, table driven script. Moving this configuration setting into the "CONFIG_*" name space is also desirable because it is needed if we ever should move forward to a Kconfig driven configuration system. * ARM: implement relocation for ARM926Heiko Schocher2010-09-192-7/+10
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Change the implementation for arm926 to relocate the code to an arbitrary address in RAM. Adapt the TX25 (i.MX25), magnesium board to test the changes. On the tx25 board TEXT_BASE is set to the final relocation address to prevent one more copying of u-boot code when relocating. * arm, i.mx27: add support for magnesium board from projectiondesignHeiko Schocher2010-04-301-1/+17
| | | | | | | | | | | This patch adds support for the magnesium board from projectiondesign. This board uses i.MX27 SoC and has 8MB NOR flash, 128MB NAND flash, FEC ethernet controller integrated into i.MX27. As this port is based on the imx27lite port, common config options are collected in include/configs/imx27lite-common.h Signed-off-by: Heiko Schocher <hs@denx.de>
