* linux/kernel.h: sync min, max, min3, max3 macros with LinuxMasahiro Yamada2014-11-231-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | U-Boot has never cared about the type when we get max/min of two values, but Linux Kernel does. This commit gets min, max, min3, max3 macros synced with the kernel introducing type checks. Many of references of those macros must be fixed to suppress warnings. We have two options: - Use min, max, min3, max3 only when the arguments have the same type (or add casts to the arguments) - Use min_t/max_t instead with the appropriate type for the first argument Signed-off-by: Masahiro Yamada <yamada.m@jp.panasonic.com> Acked-by: Pavel Machek <pavel@denx.de> Acked-by: Lukasz Majewski <l.majewski@samsung.com> Tested-by: Lukasz Majewski <l.majewski@samsung.com> [trini: Fixup arch/blackfin/lib/string.c] Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@ti.com>

* kconfig: remove redundant "string" type in arch and board KconfigsMasahiro Yamada2014-09-131-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Now the types of CONFIG_SYS_{ARCH, CPU, SOC, VENDOR, BOARD, CONFIG_NAME} are specified in arch/Kconfig. We can delete the ones in arch and board Kconfig files. This commit can be easily reproduced by the following command: find . -name Kconfig -a ! -path ./arch/Kconfig | xargs sed -i -e ' /config[[:space:]]SYS_\(ARCH\|CPU\|SOC\|\VENDOR\|BOARD\|CONFIG_NAME\)/ { N s/\n[[:space:]]*string// } ' Signed-off-by: Masahiro Yamada <yamada.m@jp.panasonic.com>
* tegra: kconfig: move board select menu and common settingsMasahiro Yamada2014-08-301-0/+53
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Becuase the board select menu in arch/arm/Kconfig is too big, move the Tegra board select menu to tegra/Kconfig. Insert the Tegra SoC select menu between the arch select and the board select. Architecture select |-- Tegra Platform (Tegra) |- Tegra SoC select (Tegra20 / 30 / 114 / 124) |- Board select Consolidate also common settings (CONFIG_SYS_CPU="armv7" and CONFIG_SYS_SOC="tegra*") and always "select" CONFIG_SPL as follows: config TEGRA bool select SPL Signed-off-by: Masahiro Yamada <yamada.m@jp.panasonic.com> Acked-by: Stephen Warren <swarren@nvidia.com> Cc: Tom Warren <twarren@nvidia.com>
* tegra20: display: fix checking of return valueJeroen Hofstee2014-06-191-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | The calling code seems a bit in doubt about the return value of fdtdec_lookup_phandle. Since it returns a negative value on error (and fdt_node_offset_by_phandle as well), check for that. cc: Wei Ni <wni@nvidia.com> Signed-off-by: Jeroen Hofstee <jeroen@myspectrum.nl> Tested-by: Stephen Warren <swarren@nvidia.com> Signed-off-by: Tom Warren <twarren@nvidia.com>

* tegra: usb: move implementation into right directoryLucas Stach2013-03-142-556/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This moves the Tegra USB implementation into the drivers/usb/host directory. Note that this merges the old /arch/arm/cpu/armv7/tegra20/usb.c file into ehci-tegra.c. No code changes, just moving stuff around. v2: While at it also move some defines and the usb.h header file to make usb driver usable for Tegra30. NOTE: A lot more work is required to properly init the PHYs and PLL_U on Tegra30, this is just to make porting easier and it does no harm here. * tegra: usb: move controller init into start_portLucas Stach2013-03-141-28/+29
| | | | | | | | | | | There is no need to init a USB controller before the upper layers indicate that they are actually going to use it. board_usb_init now only parses the device tree and sets up the common pll. * tegra: usb: make controller init functions more self containedLucas Stach2013-03-141-12/+12
| | | | | | | | | | | | | There is no need to pass around all those parameters. The init functions are able to easily extract all the needed setup info on their own. This allows to move out the controller init into ehci_hcd_init later on, without having to save away global state for later use and thus bloating the file global state. * Tegra20: Move some include files to arch-tegra for sharing with Tegra30Tom Warren2012-10-151-4/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | The move is pretty straight-forward. ap20.h and tegra20.h were renamed to ap.h and tegra.h. Some files remain in arch-tegra20 but 'include' a file in 'arch-tegra' with #defines & structs that will be common between T20 and T30 HW. HW-specific #defines, etc. stay in the 'arch-tegra20' 'root' file. All boards build OK w/MAKEALL -s tegra20. Checkpatch.pl runs clean. Seaboard works OK. * Tegra20: Move some code files to common directories for upcoming Tegra30 ↵Tom Warren2012-10-152-66/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | patches. Move files that are going to be common between T20 and T30 into 'tegra-common' subdirs in AVP (arm720t), CPU (armv7), and shared (arch/arm/cpu/.) areas. Any files that are left behind in '/tegra20' will be copied to '/tegra30' subdirs and modified for that SoC. The 'common' files should need only minor changes. Include files (arch/arm/include/asm/arch-tegra/tegra20) will be done in a follow-on patch. Builds fine w/MAKEALL -s tegra20. Checkpatch.pl is clean. Signed-off-by: Tom Warren <twarren@nvidia.com>
* tegra20: add USB ULPI init codeLucas Stach2012-10-151-22/+131
| | | | | | | | | | | | | This adds the required code to set up a ULPI USB port. It is mostly a port of the Linux ULPI setup code with some tweaks added for more correctness, discovered along the way of debugging this. To use this both CONFIG_USB_ULPI and CONFIG_USB_ULPI_VIEWPORT have to be set in the board configuration file. * tegra20: Remove armv4t build flagsAllen Martin2012-09-011-12/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | These flags were necessary when building tegra20 as a single binary that supported ARM7TDMI and Cortex A9. | | | | | | | | | | | In preparation for splitting out the armv4t code from tegra20, move the tegra20 SoC code to arch/arm/cpu/tegra20-common.
