* scsi: mvumi: use __maybe_unused to hide pm functionsArnd Bergmann2016-03-051-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The mvumi scsi hides the references to its suspend/resume functions in an #ifdef but does not hide the implementation the same way: drivers/scsi/mvumi.c:2632:12: error: 'mvumi_suspend' defined but not used [-Werror=unused-function] drivers/scsi/mvumi.c:2651:12: error: 'mvumi_resume' defined but not used [-Werror=unused-function] This adds __maybe_unused annotations so the compiler knows it can silently drop them instead of warning, while avoiding the addition of another #ifdef. * mvumi: 64bit value for seconds_since1970Tina Ruchandani2015-11-111-5/+5
| | | | | | | | | | | | struct mvumi_hs_page2 stores a "seconds_since1970" field which is of type u64. It is however, written to, using 'struct timeval' which has a 32-bit seconds field and whose value will overflow in year 2038. This patch uses ktime_get_real_seconds() instead since it provides a 64-bit seconds value, which is 2038 safe. * PCI: Remove DEFINE_PCI_DEVICE_TABLE macro useBenoit Taine2014-08-121-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | We should prefer `struct pci_device_id` over `DEFINE_PCI_DEVICE_TABLE` to meet kernel coding style guidelines. This issue was reported by checkpatch. A simplified version of the semantic patch that makes this change is as follows (http://coccinelle.lip6.fr/): // <smpl> @@ identifier i; declarer name DEFINE_PCI_DEVICE_TABLE; initializer z; @@ - DEFINE_PCI_DEVICE_TABLE(i) + const struct pci_device_id i[] = z; // </smpl> [bhelgaas: add semantic patch] Signed-off-by: Benoit Taine <benoit.taine@lip6.fr> Signed-off-by: Bjorn Helgaas <bhelgaas@google.com>

* SCSI: remove unnecessary pci_set_drvdata()Jingoo Han2013-10-141-2/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | Since commit 0998d0631001288a5974afc0b2a5f568bcdecb4d (device-core: Ensure drvdata = NULL when no driver is bound), the driver core clears the driver data to NULL after device_release or on probe failure. Thus, it is not needed to manually clear the device driver data to NULL. * Drivers: scsi: remove __dev* attributes.Greg Kroah-Hartman2013-01-031-3/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | CONFIG_HOTPLUG is going away as an option. As a result, the __dev* markings need to be removed. This change removes the use of __devinit, __devexit_p, __devinitdata, __devinitconst, and __devexit from these drivers. Based on patches originally written by Bill Pemberton, but redone by me in order to handle some of the coding style issues better, by hand. * [SCSI] mvumi: Add Marvell UMI driverJianyun Li2011-08-271-0/+2018
The Marvell Universal Message Interface (UMI) defines a messaging interface between host and Marvell products (Plato, for example). It considers situations of limited system resource and optimized system performance. UMI driver translates host request to message and sends message to FW via UMI, FW receives message and processes it, then sends response to UMI driver. FW generates an interrupt when it needs to send information or response to UMI driver Signed-off-by: Jianyun Li <jyli@marvell.com> Signed-off-by: James Bottomley <JBottomley@Parallels.com>
