* [POWERPC] cell: Support pinhole-reset on IBM cell bladesArnd Bergmann2007-08-251-2/+6
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The Cell Broadband Engine has a method of injecting a system-reset-exception from an external source into the operating system, which should trigger the regular behaviour of entering xmon or kdump. Unfortunately, the exception handler cannot distinguish it from other interrupt causes by the SRR1 register, which gets used for this on Power 6 and others. IBM Blade servers that want to support triggering the system reset exception using a pinhole button in the front panel therefore use an extra register to determine the reset cause. * [POWERPC] cell: add cbe_node_to_cpu functionChristian Krafft2007-04-231-0/+5
| | | | | | | | | This patch adds code to deal with conversion of logical cpu to cbe nodes. It removes code that assummed there were two logical CPUs per CBE. Signed-off-by: Christian Krafft <krafft@de.ibm.com> Signed-off-by: Arnd Bergmann <arnd.bergmann@de.ibm.com>
* [POWERPC] cell: Add routines for managing PMU interruptsKevin Corry2006-12-041-0/+8
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The following routines are added to arch/powerpc/platforms/cell/pmu.c: cbe_clear_pm_interrupts() cbe_enable_pm_interrupts() cbe_disable_pm_interrupts() cbe_query_pm_interrupts() cbe_pm_irq() cbe_init_pm_irq() This also adds a routine in arch/powerpc/platforms/cell/interrupt.c and some macros in cbe_regs.h to manipulate the IIC_IR register: iic_set_interrupt_routing() Signed-off-by: Kevin Corry <kevcorry@us.ibm.com> Signed-off-by: Carl Love <carll@us.ibm.com> Signed-off-by: Arnd Bergmann <arnd.bergmann@de.ibm.com> Signed-off-by: Paul Mackerras <paulus@samba.org>
* [POWERPC] cell: Move PMU-related stuff to include/asm-powerpc/cell-pmu.hKevin Corry2006-12-041-29/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Move some PMU-related macros and function prototypes from cbe_regs.h and pmu.h in arch/powerpc/platforms/cell/ to a new header at include/asm-powerpc/cell-pmu.h This is cleaner to use from the oprofile code, since that sits in arch/powerpc/oprofile, not in the cell platform directory. * [POWERPC] cell: PMU register macrosKevin Corry2006-12-041-1/+22
| | | | | | | | | More macros for manipulating bits in the Cell PMU control registers. Signed-off-by: Kevin Corry <kevcorry@us.ibm.com> Signed-off-by: Carl Love <carll@us.ibm.com> Signed-off-by: Arnd Bergmann <arnd.bergmann@de.ibm.com> Signed-off-by: Paul Mackerras <paulus@samba.org>
* [POWERPC] cell: add low-level performance monitoring codeKevin Corry2006-10-251-0/+5
| | | | | | | | | Add routines for accessing the registers and counters in the performance monitoring unit. Signed-off-by: Kevin Corry <kevcorry@us.ibm.com> Signed-off-by: Arnd Bergmann <arnd.bergmann@de.ibm.com> Signed-off-by: Paul Mackerras <paulus@samba.org>
* [POWERPC] cell: add shadow registers for pmd_regKevin Corry2006-10-251-0/+35
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Many of the registers in the performance monitoring unit are write-only. We need to save a "shadow" copy when we write to those registers so we can retrieve the values if we need them later. The new cbe_pmd_shadow_regs structure is added to the cbe_regs_map structure so we have the appropriate per-node copies of these shadow values. * [POWERPC] cell: update Cell BE register definitionsDavid Erb2006-10-251-35/+126
| | | | | | | | | | | | There are a few definitions that are required by subsequent patches, so add them here. The original patch is from David Erb, but is significantly cleaned up by Kevon Corry. * [POWERPC] cell: add RAS supportBenjamin Herrenschmidt2006-06-211-0/+129
This is a first version of support for the Cell BE "Reliability, Availability and Serviceability" features. It doesn't yet handle some of the RAS interrupts (the ones described in iic_is/iic_irr), I'm still working on a proper way to expose these. They are essentially a cascaded controller by themselves (sic !) though I may just handle them locally to the iic driver. I need also to sync with David Erb on the way he hooked in the performance monitor interrupt. So that's all for 2.6.17 and I'll do more work on that with my rework of the powerpc interrupt layer that I'm hacking on at the moment.
