* bug.h: add include of it to various implicit C usersPaul Gortmaker2012-02-291-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | With bug.h currently living right in linux/kernel.h there are files that use BUG_ON and friends but are not including the header explicitly. Fix them up so we can remove the presence in kernel.h file. Signed-off-by: Paul Gortmaker <paul.gortmaker@windriver.com>
* treewide: fix potentially dangerous trailing ';' in #defined values/expressionsPhil Carmody2011-07-211-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | All these are instances of #define NAME value; or #define NAME(params_opt) value; These of course fail to build when used in contexts like if(foo $OP NAME) while(bar $OP NAME) and may silently generate the wrong code in contexts such as foo = NAME + 1; /* foo = value; + 1; */ bar = NAME - 1; /* bar = value; - 1; */ baz = NAME & quux; /* baz = value; & quux; */ Reported on comp.lang.c, Message-ID: <ab0d55fe-25e5-482b-811e-c475aa6065c3@c29g2000yqd.googlegroups.com> Initial analysis of the dangers provided by Keith Thompson in that thread. There are many more instances of more complicated macros having unnecessary trailing semicolons, but this pile seems to be all of the cases of simple values suffering from the problem. (Thus things that are likely to be found in one of the contexts above, more complicated ones aren't.) * parisc: clear floating point exception flag on SIGFPE signalHelge Deller2010-05-301-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | Clear the floating point exception flag before returning to user space. This is needed, else the libc trampoline handler may hit the same SIGFPE again while building up a trampoline to a signal handler. Fixes debian bug #559406. * kbuild: fix up CFLAGS usageSam Ravnborg2007-10-141-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | Only in very rare cases is it needed to change CFLAGS outside of arch/*/Makefile. Fix up all wrong cases - in most cases the use of EXTRA_CFLAGS is the only thing needed. Signed-off-by: Sam Ravnborg <sam@ravnborg.org>

Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
