"The branch contains the following device tree changes the v3.17 merge
window:
Group changes to the device tree. In preparation for adding device
tree overlay support, OF_DYNAMIC is reworked so that a set of device
tree changes can be prepared and applied to the tree all at once.
OF_RECONFIG notifiers see the most significant change here so that
users always get a consistent view of the tree. Notifiers generation
is moved from before a change to after it, and notifiers for a group
of changes are emitted after the entire block of changes have been
applied
Automatic console selection from DT. Console drivers can now use
of_console_check() to see if the device node is specified as a console
device. If so then it gets added as a preferred console. UART
devices get this support automatically when uart_add_one_port() is
called.
DT unit tests no longer depend on pre-loaded data in the device tree.
Data is loaded dynamically at the start of unit tests, and then
unloaded again when the tests have completed.
Also contains a few bugfixes for reserved regions and early memory
setup"

This patch attaches selftest's device tree data (required by /drivers/of/selftest.c)
dynamically into live device tree. First, it links selftest device tree data into the
kernel image and then iterates over all the nodes and attaches them into the live tree.
Once the testcases are complete, it removes the data attached.
This patch will remove the manual process of addition and removal of selftest device
tree data into the machine's dts file.
Tested successfully with current selftest's testcases.

This was caused by commit 5a8da524049c ("ARM: dts: exynos5420: add dsi
node"), which conflicted with d51cad7df871 ("ARM: dts: remove display
power domain for exynos5420").
The DTS addition should never have been merged through the DRM tree in
the first place, and it lacked an ack from the platform maintainer
(who would have known that the disp_pd reference got removed).

"A handful of driver-related changes. We've had a bunch of them going
in through other branches as well, so it's only a part of what we
really have this release.

Merge "ARM: tegra: rework PCIe regulators" from Thierry Reding:
This branch reworks the set of regulators that the Tegra PCIe driver
uses, so that the driver and DT bindings more correctly model what's
really going on in HW. For backwards-compatibility the driver will
fallback to using the old set of regulators if the new ones can't be
found.
I've made this a separate branch in case it needs to be pulled into the
PCIe tree to resolve any conflicts.

This patch adds necessary DT nodes for pcie controllers and miphys for SPEAr13xx
SoCs.
SPEAr1310 has 3 PCIe ports and SPEAr1340 has 1, which are multiplexed with
ahci/sata pins. By default evaluation board of both controller works in ahci
mode. Because of this, these nodes are marked "disabled" by default.
In order to use pcie controller on evaluation boards do necessary modifications
on board and enable (By replacing "disabled" with "okay") pcie and miphy from
respective 'evb' dtsi file.
Phy specific initialization was previously done from spear1340.c, which isn't
required anymore as we have separate drivers for it. Remove it.

peripheral.

Pull ARM SoC device-tree changes from Olof Johansson:
"Unlike the board branch, this keeps having large sets of changes for
every release, but that's quite expected and is so far working well.
Most of this is plumbing for various device bindings and new
platforms, but there's also a bit of cleanup and code removal for
things that are moved from platform code to DT contents (some OMAP
clock code in particular).
There's also a pinctrl driver for tegra here (appropriately acked),
that's introduced this way to make it more bisectable.
I'm happy to say that there were no conflicts at all with this branch
this release, which means that changes are flowing through our tree as
expected instead of merged through driver maintainers (or at least not
done with conflicts).
There are several new boards added, and a couple of SoCs. In no
particular order:
- Rockchip RK3288 SoC support, including DTS for a dev board that
they have seeded with some community developers.
- Better support for Hardkernel Exynos4-based ODROID boards.
- CCF conversions (and dtsi contents) for several Renesas platforms.
- Gumstix Pepper (TI AM335x) board support
- TI eval board support for AM437x
- Allwinner A23 SoC, very similar to existing ones which mostly has
resulted in DT changes for support. Also includes support for an
Ippo tablet with the chipset.
- Allwinner A31 Hummingbird board support, not to be confused with
the SolidRun i.MX-based Hummingboard.
- Tegra30 Apalis board support"

The IRQB interrupt pin of MAX77686 PMIC is connected to GPX3[2] pin of
Exynos5250 on the Exynos5250 SMDK board. Specify this connection using
interrupts property for the max77686 pmic node.

rk3288 has two kind of usb controller; this adds the ehci variant for
host0 and hsic.
At the moment we don't add any phys for these controllers, but the
default settings seem to work OK.
There is a hardware problem in ohci controller which make it
unavailable and host0 controller can only support high-speed devices.

There is no phy driver that works on the Rockchip board for either USB
host port yet. For now just hardcode the vbus signal to be on all the
time which makes both the dwc2 host and the EHCI port work.
