* ARM: dts: sun8i: Make ippo-q8h-v*.dts a symlink to q8-tablet.dtsHans de Goede2015-10-131-74/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | A23 Q8 tablets with the ippo-q8h-v* pcb will work fine with the generic q8-tablet.dts and given the many variants of PCBs found in Q8 tablets using such a specific dts name was a mistake in hindsight. We cannot just drop the ippo-q8h-v*.dtb as existing u-boot configs may very well point to it. * ARM: dts: sunxi: Add sun?i-q8-common.dtsi files for q8 tabletsHans de Goede2015-09-271-69/+7
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Cheap allwinner based devices in the q8 enclosure come in many variants, all sharing the case and a number of other basic features. They differ in the display, touchscreen, accelerometer and wifi chips used. This commit adds 2 dtsi files defining the shared features of all the q8 tablets. sunxi-q8-common.dtsi defines features shared amongst all q8 tablets, sun8i-q8-common.dtsi defines features shared amongst all a23 / a33 based q8 tablets, but not with a13 q8 based tablets. a13 based tablets use a different card-detect pin for the mmc, and use uart1 instead of the r_uart for the serial console. * ARM: dts: sun8i: Enable USB DRC on Ippo Q8H-A23 tabletsHans de Goede2015-07-061-0/+9
| | | | | | | | | | | | Enable the otg controller on Ippo Q8H tablets, for now it is enabled in host-only mode, because true OTG support requires support for detecting and enabling Vbus through the axp221 pmic. For this to work the Vbus on the port must be enabled by u-boot, or a powered hub must be used. * ARM: sunxi: dt: Remove the FSF addressMaxime Ripard2015-05-101-5/+0
| | | | | | | | | | The FSF address triggers a warning on checkpatch, saying that the FSF license is already present in the Linux source code, and that it has already changed in the past. Remove it from our DT, as suggested. Signed-off-by: Maxime Ripard <maxime.ripard@free-electrons.com>
* ARM: sunxi: DT: Add stdout-path propertyMaxime Ripard2015-04-271-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | Add UART aliases and stdout-path property for all the Allwinner boards so that we won't have to rely on the bootargs' console= value, while working with legacy bootloaders. While we're at it, also remove the mentions of earlyprintk in the bootargs, that will remove our default bootargs entirely, and allow the kernel to boot on a system even if DEBUG_LL is configured for another system. * ARM: sun8i: ippo q8h v5: Convert to DT label based syntaxMaxime Ripard2015-04-271-56/+54
| | | | | | | | In order to lessen the amount of duplication of the DT tree, ease the new and follow the trend that prefers to use label based references when overriding DTSI nodes, convert the board to this syntax Signed-off-by: Maxime Ripard <maxime.ripard@free-electrons.com>
* ARM: dts: sun8i: Enable lradc on a23-ippo-q8h-v5Hans de Goede2015-01-211-0/+20
| | | | | | | | | The a23-ippo-q8h tablets have volume up/down buttons using the lradc. This has been tested on both a v5 and a v1.2 tablet. Tested-by: Chen-Yu Tsai <wens@csie.org> Signed-off-by: Hans de Goede <hdegoede@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Maxime Ripard <maxime.ripard@free-electrons.com>
* ARM: sunxi: DT: Convert the DTs to use a header for the pinctrl nodesMaxime Ripard2015-01-211-2/+3
| | | | | | | | | | The pinctrl nodes require some extra opaque arguments for the pull up and drive strength values. Introduce a new header file and convert the device trees to replace these opaque numbers by defines. Signed-off-by: Maxime Ripard <maxime.ripard@free-electrons.com>
* ARM: sunxi: DT: convert DTs to use common GPIOs includesMaxime Ripard2015-01-211-1/+3
| | | | | | | Replace the various raw GPIO flags by their definition in the common dt-bindings header. Signed-off-by: Maxime Ripard <maxime.ripard@free-electrons.com>
* ARM: sunxi: DT: Convert to device tree includesMaxime Ripard2015-01-211-2/+2
| | | | | | Prepare the device trees to use the C preprocessor. Signed-off-by: Maxime Ripard <maxime.ripard@free-electrons.com>
* ARM: dts: sun6i: ippo-q8h-v5: Fix serial0 aliasHans de Goede2015-01-061-0/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The Ippo q8h has its serial console connected to the r-uart. Adjust the serial0 alias to match. This fixes the kernel serial console no longer working since 3.19-rc1, because 8250_dw.c now honors dt aliases, causing the serial console to be ttyS5 rather then being ttyS0, as it was in 3.18 and before. Note that adjusting bootargs instead is not an acceptable fix, because console=ttyS0,115200 is used by a lot of bootscripts, etc. and this should continue to work. * ARM: sun8i: q8h: Relicense the device tree under GPLv2/X11Maxime Ripard2014-10-211-5/+41
| | | | | | | | | | | The current GPL only licensing on the DTSI makes it very impractical for other software components licensed under another license. In order to make it easier for them to reuse our device trees, relicense our device trees under a GPL/X11 dual-license. * ARM: dts: sun8i: Enable i2c controllers on ippo-q8h-v5Chen-Yu Tsai2014-08-181-0/+19
| | | | | | | | | | | | | i2c0 is connected to the gsl1680 capacitive touch panel controller. i2c1 is connected to an mma7660 3-axis accelerometer. i2c2 is connected to the front and back gc0309 camera sensors. The camera sensors require additional regulators be enabled before they are available. All these peripherals are not supported by the kernel yet. * ARM: dts: sun8i: Enable mmc controller on ippo-q8h-v5Chen-Yu Tsai2014-08-171-0/+20

* ARM: dts: sun8i: ippo-q8h: Add pinctrl properties for R_UARTChen-Yu Tsai2014-08-171-0/+2
| | | | | | | | Now that we have R_PIO controller support and the pinmux for R_UART, add the correct pinctrl properties to the R_UART node. Signed-off-by: Chen-Yu Tsai <wens@csie.org> Signed-off-by: Maxime Ripard <maxime.ripard@free-electrons.com>
* ARM: sun8i: dt: Add Ippo-q8h v5 supportChen-Yu Tsai2014-07-011-0/+30
The Ippo-q8h is a tablet circuit board commonly found in cheap Android tablets with A23 SoCs. There are at least 2 versions of the board, with different peripherals, such as WiFi chips. Common features among these tablets include 512 MB DRAM, NAND, MMC, LCD, capacitive touchscreen, accelerometer, 1 or 2 camera sensors, USB OTG, microphone and speaker. v5 of these board designs has a ESP8089 WiFi chip (not supported) connected to mmc1. This patch adds very basic support. Signed-off-by: Chen-Yu Tsai <wens@csie.org> Signed-off-by: Maxime Ripard <maxime.ripard@free-electrons.com>
