From 55fff8342230ab80179ace8a782328f888b9b5bb Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Nuno Lopes Date: Thu, 21 Jun 2012 15:45:28 +0000 Subject: refactor the MemoryBuiltin analysis: - provide more extensive set of functions to detect library allocation functions (e.g., malloc, calloc, strdup, etc) - provide an API to compute the size and offset of an object pointed by Move a few clients (GVN, AA, instcombine, ...) to the new API. This implementation is a lot more aggressive than each of the custom implementations being replaced. Patch reviewed by Nick Lewycky and Chandler Carruth, thanks. llvm-svn: 158919 --- llvm/lib/Transforms/InstCombine/InstructionCombining.cpp | 2 +- 1 file changed, 1 insertion(+), 1 deletion(-) (limited to 'llvm/lib/Transforms/InstCombine/InstructionCombining.cpp') diff --git a/llvm/lib/Transforms/InstCombine/InstructionCombining.cpp b/llvm/lib/Transforms/InstCombine/InstructionCombining.cpp index 2548ac1b2fb..2653fc316d3 100644 --- a/llvm/lib/Transforms/InstCombine/InstructionCombining.cpp +++ b/llvm/lib/Transforms/InstCombine/InstructionCombining.cpp @@ -1068,7 +1068,7 @@ Instruction *InstCombiner::visitGetElementPtrInst(GetElementPtrInst &GEP) { // If the bitcast is of an allocation, and the allocation will be // converted to match the type of the cast, don't touch this. if (isa(BCI->getOperand(0)) || - isMalloc(BCI->getOperand(0))) { + isAllocationFn(BCI->getOperand(0))) { // See if the bitcast simplifies, if so, don't nuke this GEP yet. if (Instruction *I = visitBitCast(*BCI)) { if (I != BCI) { -- cgit v1.2.3
