From d7738fe6ad9739e750127080a22294df39307429 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Chandler Carruth Date: Tue, 20 Dec 2016 08:28:19 +0000 Subject: Revert r290149: Add the alloc_size attribute to clang. This commit fails MSan when running test/CodeGen/object-size.c in a confusing way. After some discussion with George, it isn't really clear what is going on here. We can make the MSan failure go away by testing for the invalid bit, but *why* things are invalid isn't clear. And yet, other code in the surrounding area is doing precisely this and testing for invalid. George is going to take a closer look at this to better understand the nature of the failure and recommit it, for now backing it out to clean up MSan builds. llvm-svn: 290169 --- clang/test/CodeGenCXX/global-init.cpp | 3 +++ 1 file changed, 3 insertions(+) (limited to 'clang/test/CodeGenCXX/global-init.cpp') diff --git a/clang/test/CodeGenCXX/global-init.cpp b/clang/test/CodeGenCXX/global-init.cpp index 1e8694dd42a..e806af9eacb 100644 --- a/clang/test/CodeGenCXX/global-init.cpp +++ b/clang/test/CodeGenCXX/global-init.cpp @@ -18,6 +18,9 @@ struct D { ~D(); }; // CHECK: @__dso_handle = external global i8 // CHECK: @c = global %struct.C zeroinitializer, align 8 +// It's okay if we ever implement the IR-generation optimization to remove this. +// CHECK: @_ZN5test3L3varE = internal constant i8* getelementptr inbounds ([7 x i8], [7 x i8]* + // PR6205: The casts should not require global initializers // CHECK: @_ZN6PR59741cE = external global %"struct.PR5974::C" // CHECK: @_ZN6PR59741aE = global %"struct.PR5974::A"* getelementptr inbounds (%"struct.PR5974::C", %"struct.PR5974::C"* @_ZN6PR59741cE, i32 0, i32 0) -- cgit v1.2.3
