* [PGO][PGSO] DAG.shouldOptForSize part.Hiroshi Yamauchi2019-11-211-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Summary: (Split of off D67120) SelectionDAG::shouldOptForSize changes for profile guided size optimization. Reviewers: davidxl Subscribers: hiraditya, llvm-commits Tags: #llvm Differential Revision: https://reviews.llvm.org/D70095
* [llvm] Migrate llvm::make_unique to std::make_uniqueJonas Devlieghere2019-08-151-2/+2
| | | | | | | | Now that we've moved to C++14, we no longer need the llvm::make_unique implementation from STLExtras.h. This patch is a mechanical replacement of (hopefully) all the llvm::make_unique instances across the monorepo. llvm-svn: 369013
* [SelectionDAG] Use KnownBits::computeForAddSub/computeForAddCarryBjorn Pettersson2019-04-151-0/+42
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Summary: Use KnownBits::computeForAddSub/computeForAddCarry in SelectionDAG::computeKnownBits when doing value tracking for addition/subtraction. This should improve the precision of the known bits, as we only used to make a simple estimate of known zeroes. The KnownBits support functions are also able to deduce bits that are known to be one in the result. * Update the file headers across all of the LLVM projects in the monorepoChandler Carruth2019-01-191-4/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | to reflect the new license. We understand that people may be surprised that we're moving the header entirely to discuss the new license. We checked this carefully with the Foundation's lawyer and we believe this is the correct approach. Essentially, all code in the project is now made available by the LLVM project under our new license, so you will see that the license headers include that license only. Some of our contributors have contributed code under our old license, and accordingly, we have retained a copy of our old license notice in the top-level files in each project and repository. llvm-svn: 351636
* [AArch64] Always use the version of computeKnownBits that returns a value. NFCI.Simon Pilgrim2018-12-211-4/+2
| | | | | | Continues the work started by @bogner in rL340594 to remove uses of the KnownBits output paramater version. llvm-svn: 349908
* [SelectionDAG] Assert on the width of DemandedElts argument to ↵Craig Topper2018-11-081-2/+2
| | | | | | | | computeKnownBits for all vector typed operations not just build_vector. Fix AArch64 unit test that fails with the assertion added. llvm-svn: 346437
* MachineModuleInfo: Store more specific reference to LLVMTargetMachine; NFCMatthias Braun2018-11-051-3/+4
| | | | | | | | MachineModuleInfo can only be used in code using lib/CodeGen, hence we can keep a more specific reference to LLVMTargetMachine rather than just TargetMachine around. llvm-svn: 346182
* [SelectionDAG] Remove special methods for creating *_EXTEND_VECTOR_INREG ↵Craig Topper2018-11-041-2/+2

But getNode already has a switch that can be used to hold these asserts that allows them to be shared for all 3 opcodes. This also enables checking on the places that create these nodes without using the wrappers. The rest of the patch is just changing all callers to use getNode directly. llvm-svn: 346087
