* Update the file headers across all of the LLVM projects in the monorepoChandler Carruth2019-01-191-4/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | to reflect the new license. We understand that people may be surprised that we're moving the header entirely to discuss the new license. We checked this carefully with the Foundation's lawyer and we believe this is the correct approach. Essentially, all code in the project is now made available by the LLVM project under our new license, so you will see that the license headers include that license only. Some of our contributors have contributed code under our old license, and accordingly, we have retained a copy of our old license notice in the top-level files in each project and repository. llvm-svn: 351636
* [DebugInfo] Common behavior for error typesAlexandre Ganea2018-08-311-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Following D50807, and heading towards D50664, this intermediary change does the following: 1. Upgrade all custom Error types in llvm/trunk/lib/DebugInfo/ to use the new StringError behavior (D50807). 2. Implement std::is_error_code_enum and make_error_code() for DebugInfo error enumerations. 3. Rename GenericError -> PDBError (the file will be renamed in a subsequent commit) 4. Update custom error messages to follow the same formatting: (\w\s*)+\. 5. Keep generic "file not found" (ENOENT) errors as they are in PDB code. Previously, there used to be a custom enumeration for that purpose. 6. Remove a few extraneous LF in log() implementations. Printing LF is a responsability at a higher level, not at the error level. * Remove LLVM_NOEXCEPT and replace it with noexceptReid Kleckner2016-10-191-2/+2
| | | | | | | Now that we have dropped MSVC 2013, all supported compilers support noexcept and we can drop this portability macro. llvm-svn: 284672
* Add FIXMEs to all derived classes of std::error_category.Peter Collingbourne2016-05-241-0/+3
| | | | | | | | This helps make clear that we're moving away from std::error_code. Differential Revision: http://reviews.llvm.org/D20592 llvm-svn: 270604
* [obj2yaml] Adding Error/Expected to macho2yamlChris Bieneman2016-05-121-1/+11
| | | | | | I figure if I'm adding Mach support I may as well use the new fancy Error model. llvm-svn: 269264
* Initial add for MachO support for obj2yamlChris Bieneman2016-05-111-0/+2
| | | | | | | | Adding the initial files for adding MachO support to obj2yaml. Passing a MachO file will result in a new not_implemented error. I will be implementing obj2yaml and yaml2obj for MachO in parallel so that one can be used to test the other. llvm-svn: 269243
* Added missing LLVM_NOEXCEPT to the definition of _obj2yaml_error_category::nameIsmail Pazarbasi2014-09-111-1/+3
| | | | | | LLVM_NOEXCEPT was added in r210591. llvm-svn: 217603
* Remove unused and odd code.Rafael Espindola2014-06-131-9/+0
| | | | | | | | This code was never being used and any use of it would look fairly strange. For example, it would try to map a object_error::parse_failed to std::errc::invalid_argument. llvm-svn: 210912

* Use std::error_code instead of llvm::error_code.Rafael Espindola2014-06-111-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The idea of this patch is to turn llvm/Support/system_error.h into a transitional header that just brings in the erorr_code api to the llvm namespace. I will remove it shortly afterwards. The cases where the general idea needed some tweaking: * std::errc is a namespace in msvc, so we cannot use "using std::errc". I could add an #ifdef, but there were not that many uses, so I just added std:: to them in this patch. * Template specialization had to be moved to the std namespace in this patch set already. * The msvc implementation of default_error_condition doesn't seem to provide the same transformations as we need. Not too surprising since the standard doesn't actually say what "equivalent" means. I fixed the problem by keeping our old mapping and using it at error_code construction time. Despite these shortcomings I think this is still a good thing. Some reasons: * The different implementations of system_error might improve over time. * It removes 925 lines of code from llvm already. * It removes 6313 bytes from the text segment of the clang binary when it is built with gcc and 2816 bytes when building with clang and libstdc++. llvm-svn: 210687
* Use an enum class.Rafael Espindola2014-06-111-5/+4

* Mark a few functions noexcept.Rafael Espindola2014-06-101-2/+2
| | | | | | This reduces the difference between std::error_code and llvm::error_code. llvm-svn: 210591
* There is no std::errc::success, remove the llvm one.Rafael Espindola2014-05-311-1/+1
