* [SCEV] Mark AddExprs as nsw or nuw if legalSanjoy Das2015-10-221-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Summary: This uses `ScalarEvolution::getRange` and not potentially control dependent `nsw` and `nuw` bits on the arithmetic instruction. * Make DataLayout Non-Optional in the ModuleMehdi Amini2015-03-041-0/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Summary: DataLayout keeps the string used for its creation. As a side effect it is no longer needed in the Module. This is "almost" NFC, the string is no longer canonicalized, you can't rely on two "equals" DataLayout having the same string returned by getStringRepresentation(). Get rid of DataLayoutPass: the DataLayout is in the Module The DataLayout is "per-module", let's enforce this by not duplicating it more than necessary. One more step toward non-optionality of the DataLayout in the module. Make DataLayout Non-Optional in the Module Module->getDataLayout() will never returns nullptr anymore. * Fix LSR: don't normalize quadratic recurrences.Andrew Trick2013-10-251-6/+38
| | | | | | | | | | Partial fix for PR17459: wrong code at -O3 on x86_64-linux-gnu (affecting trunk and 3.3) ScalarEvolutionNormalization was attempting to normalize by adding and subtracting strides. Chained recurrences don't work that way. llvm-svn: 193437
* Convert all tests using TCL-style quoting to use shell-style quoting.Chandler Carruth2012-07-021-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This was done through the aid of a terrible Perl creation. I will not paste any of the horrors here. Suffice to say, it require multiple staged rounds of replacements, state carried between, and a few nested-construct-parsing hacks that I'm not proud of. It happens, by luck, to be able to deal with all the TCL-quoting patterns in evidence in the LLVM test suite. If anyone is maintaining large out-of-tree test trees, feel free to poke me and I'll send you the steps I used to convert things, as well as answer any painful questions etc. IRC works best for this type of thing I find. Once converted, switch the LLVM lit config to use ShTests the same as Clang. In addition to being able to delete large amounts of Python code from 'lit', this will also simplify the entire test suite and some of lit's architecture. Finally, the test suite runs 33% faster on Linux now. ;] For my 16-hardware-thread (2x 4-core xeon e5520): 36s -> 24s llvm-svn: 159525
* Generalize IVUsers to track arbitrary expressions rather than expressionsDan Gohman2010-04-071-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | explicitly split into stride-and-offset pairs. Also, add the ability to track multiple post-increment loops on the same expression. This refines the concept of "normalizing" SCEV expressions used for to post-increment uses, and introduces a dedicated utility routine for normalizing and denormalizing expressions. This fixes the expansion of expressions which are post-increment users of more than one loop at a time. More broadly, this takes LSR another step closer to being able to reason about more than one loop at a time. llvm-svn: 100699
