* [WebAssembly] Rename relocations from R_WEBASSEMBLY_ to R_WASM_Sam Clegg2019-02-041-8/+8
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | See https://github.com/WebAssembly/tool-conventions/pull/95. This is less typing and IMHO more readable, and it also fits with our naming around the binary format which tends to use the short name. e.g. include/llvm/BinaryFormat/Wasm.h tools/llvm-objdump/WasmDump.cpp etc.. Differential Revision: https://reviews.llvm.org/D57611 llvm-svn: 353062
* [WebAssembly] Store section alignment as a power of 2Sam Clegg2019-01-161-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | This change bumps for version number of the wasm object file metadata. See https://github.com/WebAssembly/tool-conventions/pull/92 Differential Revision: https://reviews.llvm.org/D56758 llvm-svn: 351285
* [WebAssembly] Massive instruction renamingThomas Lively2019-01-081-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Summary: An automated renaming of all the instructions listed at https://github.com/WebAssembly/spec/issues/884#issuecomment-426433329 as well as some similarly-named identifiers. Reviewers: aheejin, dschuff, aardappel Subscribers: sbc100, jgravelle-google, eraman, sunfish, jfb, llvm-commits Differential Revision: https://reviews.llvm.org/D56338 llvm-svn: 350609
* [WebAsembly] Update default triple in test files to wasm32-unknown-unkown.Sam Clegg2018-05-101-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | Summary: The final -wasm component has been the default for some time now. Subscribers: jfb, dschuff, jgravelle-google, eraman, aheejin, JDevlieghere, sunfish, llvm-commits Differential Revision: https://reviews.llvm.org/D46342 llvm-svn: 332007
* [WebAssembly] Add version to object file metadataSam Clegg2018-04-261-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | Summary: See https://github.com/WebAssembly/tool-conventions/issues/54 Subscribers: jfb, dschuff, jgravelle-google, aheejin, sunfish, llvm-commits Differential Revision: https://reviews.llvm.org/D46069 llvm-svn: 330969
* Revert "[WebAssembly] More uses of uint8_t" and "[WebAssembly] Update tests"Nicholas Wilson2018-03-021-9/+9
| | | | | | | | | | This reverts commits r326541 and r326571. The tests were correct, and were updated with incorrect expectations. The original commit was broken and should be reverted to get things back to a working state. llvm-svn: 326572
* [WebAssembly] Update tests after r326541Ilya Biryukov2018-03-021-9/+9
| | | | | | | | | | r326541 slightly increased the size of WebAssembly object files and it broke test/MC/WebAssembly/global-ctor-dtor.ll. This commit updates the test to unbreak it, also mentioned this to the author of the original commit in case they don't want it. llvm-svn: 326571
* [WebAssembly] Reorder symbol table to match MC orderNicholas Wilson2018-02-281-42/+42
| | | | | | | | This removes a TODO introduced in rL325860 Differential Revision: https://reviews.llvm.org/D43685 llvm-svn: 326334
* [WebAssembly] Remove DataSize from linking metadata sectionSam Clegg2018-02-271-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | Neither the linker nor the runtime need this information anymore. We were originally using this to model BSS size but the plan is now to use the segment metadata to allow for BSS segments. Differential Revision: https://reviews.llvm.org/D41366 llvm-svn: 326267
* [WebAssembly] Add first claass symbol table to wasm objectsSam Clegg2018-02-231-48/+63
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This is combination of two patches by Nicholas Wilson: 1. https://reviews.llvm.org/D41954 2. https://reviews.llvm.org/D42495 Along with a few local modifications: - One change I made was to add the UNDEFINED bit to the binary format to avoid the extra byte used when writing data symbols. Although this bit is redundant for other symbols types (i.e. undefined can be implied if a function or global is a wasm import) - I prefer to be explicit and consistent and not have derived flags. - Some field renaming. - Some reverting of unrelated minor changes. - No test output differences. Differential Revision: https://reviews.llvm.org/D43147 llvm-svn: 325860
* [WebAssembly] MC: Use inline triple in test bitcode filesSam Clegg2018-01-231-1/+3
| | | | | | | | | This matches the CodeGen tests and makes it a little easy to run these from the command line manually. Differential Revision: https://reviews.llvm.org/D42440 llvm-svn: 323275
* [WebAssembly] Remove "name" section of object wasm object filesSam Clegg2018-01-231-21/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | LLD is unaffected, no changes needed there. LLD continues to write out a name section, using the symbol names. Fixes: https://github.com/WebAssembly/tool-conventions/issues/37 Patch by Nicholas Wilson! Differential Revision: https://reviews.llvm.org/D42425 llvm-svn: 323234
* [WebAssembly] Store function index rather than table index in TABLE_INDEX ↵Sam Clegg2018-01-231-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | relocations Relocations of type R_WEBASSEMBLY_TABLE_INDEX represent places where the table index for a given function is needed. While the value stored in this location is a table index, the index in the relocation entry itself is a function index (the index of the function which is to be called indirectly). This is how is was spec'd originally but the LLVM implementation didn't do this. This makes things a little simpler in the linker since the table in the input file can essentially be ignored that the output table can be created purely based on these relocations. Patch by Nicholas Wilson! Differential Revision: https://reviews.llvm.org/D42080 llvm-svn: 323165
* [WebAssembly] MC: Start table at offset 1 rather than 0Sam Clegg2018-01-191-5/+5
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Summary: For consistency with the output of lld. This is useful in runnable binaries as can them be sure the null function pointer will never be a valid argument call_indirect. Subscribers: jfb, dschuff, jgravelle-google, aheejin, sunfish, llvm-commits Differential Revision: https://reviews.llvm.org/D42284 llvm-svn: 322978
