* Add more triples after r261235Hans Wennborg2016-02-181-1/+1
| | | | | | | Since the behaviour is now different between Darwin and non-Darwin, more triples are needed :-/ llvm-svn: 261238
* [X86] Don't zero/sign-extend i1, i8, or i16 return values to 32 bits (PR22532)Hans Wennborg2016-02-081-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This matches GCC and MSVC's behaviour, and saves on code size. We were already not extending i1 return values on x86_64 after r127766. This takes that patch further by applying it to x86 target as well, and also for i8 and i16. The ABI docs have been unclear about the required behaviour here. The new i386 psABI [1] clearly states (Table 2.4, page 14) that i1, i8, and i16 return vales do not need to be extended beyond 8 bits. The x86_64 ABI doc is being updated to say the same [2]. This was done with the following sed invocation to catch label lines demarking function boundaries: sed -i '' "s/^;\( *\)\([A-Z0-9_]*\):\( *\)test\([A-Za-z0-9_-]*\):\( *\)$/;\1\2-LABEL:\3test\4:\5/g" test/CodeGen/*/*.ll which was written conservatively to avoid false positives rather than false negatives. I scanned through all the changes and everything looks correct. llvm-svn: 186258

This one fell back to the default implementation that did a hi/lo multiply and compared the top. Fix this to check the overflow flag that the 'mul' instruction sets, so we can avoid an explicit test.
