* AMDGPU: Separate R600 and GCN TableGen filesTom Stellard2018-06-281-4/+21
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Summary: We now have two sets of generated TableGen files, one for R600 and one for GCN, so each sub-target now has its own tables of instructions, registers, ISel patterns, etc. This should help reduce compile time since each sub-target now only has to consider information that is specific to itself. This will also help prevent the R600 sub-target from slowing down new features for GCN, like disassembler support, GlobalISel, etc. Reviewers: arsenm, nhaehnle, jvesely Reviewed By: arsenm Subscribers: MatzeB, kzhuravl, wdng, mgorny, yaxunl, dstuttard, tpr, t-tye, javed.absar, llvm-commits Differential Revision: https://reviews.llvm.org/D46365 llvm-svn: 335942
* MC: Change the streamer ctors to take an object writer instead of a stream. ↵Peter Collingbourne2018-05-181-2/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | NFCI. The idea is that a client that wants split dwarf would create a specific kind of object writer that creates two files, and use it to create the streamer. Part of PR37466. Differential Revision: https://reviews.llvm.org/D47050 llvm-svn: 332749
* Remove \brief commands from doxygen comments.Adrian Prantl2018-05-011-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | We've been running doxygen with the autobrief option for a couple of years now. This makes the \brief markers into our comments redundant. Since they are a visual distraction and we don't want to encourage more \brief markers in new code either, this patch removes them all. Patch produced by for i in $(git grep -l '\\brief'); do perl -pi -e 's/\\brief //g' $i & done Differential Revision: https://reviews.llvm.org/D46290 llvm-svn: 331272

* [MC] Have MCObjectStreamer take its MCAsmBackend argument via unique_ptr.Lang Hames2017-10-111-3/+5
| | | | | | | | MCObjectStreamer owns its MCCodeEmitter -- this fixes the types to reflect that, and allows us to remove the last instance of MCObjectStreamer's weird "holding ownership via someone else's reference" trick. llvm-svn: 315531

* AMDGPU: Add R600InstPrinter classTom Stellard2017-08-171-1/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Summary: This is step towards separating the GCN and R600 tablegen'd code. This is a little awkward for now, because the R600 functions won't have the MCSubtargetInfo parameter, so we need to have AMDMGPUInstPrinter delegate to R600InstPrinter, but once the tablegen'd code is split, we will be able to drop the delegation and use R600InstPrinter directly. * Re-commit r247683: Replace Triple with a new TargetTuple in MCTargetDesc/* ↵Daniel Sanders2015-09-151-5/+6
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | and related. NFC. Summary: This is the first patch in the series to migrate Triple's (which are ambiguous) to TargetTuple's (which aren't). For the moment, TargetTuple simply passes all requests to the Triple object it holds. Once it has replaced Triple, it will start to implement the interface in a more suitable way. This change makes some changes to the public C++ API. In particular, InitMCSubtargetInfo(), createMCRelocationInfo(), and createMCSymbolizer() now take TargetTuples instead of Triples. The other public C++ API's have been left as-is for the moment to reduce patch size. This commit also contains a trivial patch to clang to account for the C++ API change. * MC: Remove MCSubtargetInfo() default constructorDuncan P. N. Exon Smith2015-07-101-3/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Force all creators of `MCSubtargetInfo` to immediately initialize it, merging the default constructor and the initializer into an initializing constructor. Besides cleaning up the code a little, this makes it clear that the initializer is never called again later. Out-of-tree backends need a trivial change: instead of calling: auto *X = new MCSubtargetInfo(); InitXYZMCSubtargetInfo(X, ...); return X; they should call: return createXYZMCSubtargetInfoImpl(...); There's no real functionality change here. llvm-svn: 241957
* Change the last few internal StringRef triples into Triple objects.Daniel Sanders2015-07-061-4/+5
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Summary: This concludes the patch series to eliminate StringRef forms of GNU triples from the internals of LLVM that began in r239036. At this point, the StringRef-form of GNU Triples should only be used in the public API (including IR serialization) and a couple objects that directly interact with the API (most notably the Module class). The next step is to replace these Triple objects with the TargetTuple object that will represent our authoratative/unambiguous internal equivalent to GNU Triples.
