* Move Object format code to lib/BinaryFormat.Zachary Turner2017-06-071-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | This creates a new library called BinaryFormat that has all of the headers from llvm/Support containing structure and layout definitions for various types of binary formats like dwarf, coff, elf, etc as well as the code for identifying a file from its magic. * AArch64: use linker-private symbols for globals in MachO.Tim Northover2017-05-151-0/+8
| | | | | | | | We don't use section-relative relocations on AArch64, so all symbols must be at least visible to the linker (i.e. properly global or l_whatever, but not L_whatever). llvm-svn: 303118
* CodeGen: simplify TargetMachine::getSymbol interface. NFC.Tim Northover2016-11-221-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | No-one actually had a mangler handy when calling this function, and getSymbol itself went most of the way towards getting its own mangler (with a local TLOF variable) so forcing all callers to supply one was just extra complication. llvm-svn: 287645

* [AsmPrinter][TLOF] 32-bit MachO support for replacing GOT equivalentsBruno Cardoso Lopes2015-03-061-2/+5
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Add MachO 32-bit (i.e. arm and x86) support for replacing global GOT equivalent symbol accesses. Unlike 64-bit targets, there's no GOTPCREL relocation, and access through a non_lazy_symbol_pointers section is used instead. -- before _extgotequiv: .long _extfoo _delta: .long _extgotequiv-_delta -- after _delta: .long L_extfoo$non_lazy_ptr-_delta .section __IMPORT,__pointers,non_lazy_symbol_pointers L_extfoo$non_lazy_ptr: .indirect_symbol _extfoo .long 0 llvm-svn: 231475
* [AsmPrinter][TLOF] ARM64 MachO support for replacing GOT equivalentsBruno Cardoso Lopes2015-03-061-0/+18
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Follow up r230264 and add ARM64 support for replacing global GOT equivalent symbol accesses by references to the GOT entry for the final symbol instead, example: -- before .globl _foo _foo: .long 42 .globl _gotequivalent _gotequivalent: .quad _foo .globl _delta _delta: .long _gotequivalent-_delta -- after .globl _foo _foo: .long 42 .globl _delta Ltmp3: .long _foo@GOT-Ltmp3 llvm-svn: 231474
* AArch64/ARM64: move ARM64 into AArch64's placeTim Northover2014-05-241-0/+52
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This commit starts with a "git mv ARM64 AArch64" and continues out from there, renaming the C++ classes, intrinsics, and other target-local objects for consistency. "ARM64" test directories are also moved, and tests that began their life in ARM64 use an arm64 triple, those from AArch64 use an aarch64 triple. Both should be equivalent though. This finishes the AArch64 merge, and everyone should feel free to continue committing as normal now. llvm-svn: 209577
* AArch64/ARM64: remove AArch64 from tree prior to renaming ARM64.Tim Northover2014-05-241-24/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | I'm doing this in two phases for a better "git blame" record. This commit removes the previous AArch64 backend and redirects all functionality to ARM64. It also deduplicates test-lines and removes orphaned AArch64 tests. The next step will be "git mv ARM64 AArch64" and rewire most of the tests. Hopefully LLVM is still functional, though it would be even better if no-one ever had to care because the rename happens straight afterwards. llvm-svn: 209576

* Fix formatting in AArch64 backend.Tim Northover2013-02-051-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | This should fix three purely whitespace issues: + 80 column violations. + Tab characters. + TableGen brace placement. No functional changes. llvm-svn: 174370
* Add AArch64 as an experimental target.Tim Northover2013-01-311-0/+19
This patch adds support for AArch64 (ARM's 64-bit architecture) to LLVM in the "experimental" category. Currently, it won't be built unless requested explicitly. This initial commit should have support for: + Assembly of all scalar (i.e. non-NEON, non-Crypto) instructions (except the late addition CRC instructions). + CodeGen features required for C++03 and C99. + Compilation for the "small" memory model: code+static data < 4GB. + Absolute and position-independent code. + GNU-style (i.e. "__thread") TLS. + Debugging information. The principal omission, currently, is performance tuning. This patch excludes the NEON support also reviewed due to an outbreak of batshit insanity in our legal department. That will be committed soon bringing the changes to precisely what has been approved. Further reviews would be gratefully received. llvm-svn: 174054
