* This patch commits OpenMP 4 target device clausesMichael Wong2015-08-071-0/+21

* [OPENMP 4.1] Initial support for extended 'ordered' clause.Alexey Bataev2015-07-301-2/+18
| | | | | | | | OpenMP 4.1 introduces optional argument '(n)' for 'ordered' clause, where 'n' is a number of loops that immediately follow the directive. 'n' must be constant positive integer expressions and it must be less or equal than the number of the loops in the resulting loop nest. Patch adds parsing and semantic analysis for this optional argument. llvm-svn: 243635

* Sema: Allow null names to be passed in to isAcceptableTagRedeclarationJustin Bogner2015-07-101-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | It's possible for TagRedeclarations to involve decls without a name, ie, anonymous enums. We hit some undefined behaviour if we bind these null names to the reference here. We never dereference the name, so it's harmless if it's null - make it a pointer to allow that. Fixes the Modules/submodules-merge-defs.cpp test under ubsan. llvm-svn: 241963
* C++ support for Objective-C lightweight generics.Douglas Gregor2015-07-071-6/+187
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Teach C++'s tentative parsing to handle specializations of Objective-C class types (e.g., NSArray<NSString *>) as well as Objective-C protocol qualifiers (id<NSCopying>) by extending type-annotation tokens to handle this case. As part of this, remove Objective-C protocol qualifiers from the declaration specifiers, which never really made sense: instead, provide Sema entry points to make them part of the type annotation token. Among other things, this properly diagnoses bogus types such as "<NSCopying> id" which should have been written as "id <NSCopying>". Implements template instantiation support for, e.g., NSArray<T>* in C++. Note that parameterized classes are not templates in the C++ sense, so that cannot (for example) be used as a template argument for a template template parameter. Part of rdar://problem/6294649. llvm-svn: 241545

* [Sema] Maintain ellipsis location when transforming lambda capturesMeador Inge2015-06-261-1/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch fixes a crash caused by the following case: template<typename T> auto f(T x) { auto g = [](auto ... args) { auto h = [args...]() -> int { return 0; }; return h; }; return g; } auto x = f(0)(); When the templated function 'f' is instantiated and the inner-most lambda is transformed the ellipsis location on the captured variable is lost. Then the lambda returned by 'f' is instantiated and the tree transformer chokes on the invalid ellipsis location. The problem is fixed by making a minor change to properly track the ellipsis location. This fixes PR23716. Differential Revision: http://reviews.llvm.org/D10590 llvm-svn: 240740
* Replace __double_underscored type nullability qualifiers with ↵Douglas Gregor2015-06-241-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | _Uppercase_underscored Addresses a conflict with glibc's __nonnull macro by renaming the type nullability qualifiers as follows: __nonnull -> _Nonnull __nullable -> _Nullable __null_unspecified -> _Null_unspecified This is the major part of rdar://problem/21530726, but does not yet provide the Darwin-specific behavior for the old names. llvm-svn: 240596
* [OPENMP] Initial support for 'depend' clause (4.0).Alexey Bataev2015-06-231-0/+29
| | | | | | Parsing and sema analysis (without support for array sections in arguments) for 'depend' clause (used in 'task' directive, OpenMP 4.0). llvm-svn: 240409
* [OPENMP] Do not emit references to original variables in 'private' clause.Alexey Bataev2015-06-231-0/+2
| | | | | | | Currently if the variable is captured in captured region, capture record for this region stores reference to this variable for future use. But we don't need to provide the reference to the original variable if it was explicitly marked as private in the 'private' clause of the OpenMP construct, this variable is replaced by private copy. Differential Revision: http://reviews.llvm.org/D9550 llvm-svn: 240377
* Extend type nullability qualifiers for Objective-C.Douglas Gregor2015-06-191-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Introduce context-sensitive, non-underscored nullability specifiers (nonnull, nullable, null_unspecified) for Objective-C method return types, method parameter types, and properties. Introduce Objective-C-specific semantics, including computation of the nullability of the result of a message send, merging of nullability information from the @interface of a class into its @implementation, etc . This is the Objective-C part of rdar://problem/18868820. llvm-svn: 240154
* Introduce type nullability specifiers for C/C++.Douglas Gregor2015-06-191-0/+11
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Introduces the type specifiers __nonnull, __nullable, and __null_unspecified that describe the nullability of the pointer type to which the specifier appertains. Nullability type specifiers improve on the existing nonnull attributes in a few ways: - They apply to types, so one can represent a pointer to a non-null pointer, use them in function pointer types, etc. - As type specifiers, they are syntactically more lightweight than __attribute__s or [[attribute]]s. - They can express both the notion of 'should never be null' and also 'it makes sense for this to be null', and therefore can more easily catch errors of omission where one forgot to annotate the nullability of a particular pointer (this will come in a subsequent patch). Nullability type specifiers are maintained as type sugar, and therefore have no effect on mangling, encoding, overloading, etc. Nonetheless, they will be used for warnings about, e.g., passing 'null' to a method that does not accept it. This is the C/C++ part of rdar://problem/18868820. llvm-svn: 240146
* [OPENMP] Support for '#pragma omp taskgroup' directive.Alexey Bataev2015-06-181-0/+11
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Added parsing, sema analysis and codegen for '#pragma omp taskgroup' directive (OpenMP 4.0). The code for directive is generated the following way: #pragma omp taskgroup <body> void __kmpc_taskgroup(<loc>, thread_id); <body> void __kmpc_end_taskgroup(<loc>, thread_id); llvm-svn: 240011
* Implementing C99 partial re-initialization behavior (DR-253)Yunzhong Gao2015-06-101-0/+19
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Based on previous discussion on the mailing list, clang currently lacks support for C99 partial re-initialization behavior: Reference: http://lists.cs.uiuc.edu/pipermail/cfe-dev/2013-April/029188.html Reference: http://www.open-std.org/jtc1/sc22/wg14/www/docs/dr_253.htm This patch attempts to fix this problem. Given the following code snippet, struct P1 { char x[6]; }; struct LP1 { struct P1 p1; }; struct LP1 l = { .p1 = { "foo" }, .p1.x[2] = 'x' }; // this example is adapted from the example for "struct fred x[]" in DR-253; // currently clang produces in l: { "\0\0x" }, // whereas gcc 4.8 produces { "fox" }; // with this fix, clang will also produce: { "fox" }; Differential Review: http://reviews.llvm.org/D5789 llvm-svn: 239446
* Replace the broken LambdaCapture::isInitCapture API.James Dennett2015-05-071-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | A LambdaCapture does not have sufficient information to correctly determine whether it is an init-capture or not. Doing so requires knowledge held in the LambdaExpr itself. It the case of a nested capture of an init-capture it is not sufficient to check (as LambdaCapture::isInitCapture did) whether the associated VarDecl was from an init-capture. This patch moves isInitCapture to LambdaExpr and updates Capture->isInitCapture() to Lambda->isInitCapture(Capture). llvm-svn: 236760
* PR23334: Perform semantic checking of lambda capture initialization in the ↵Richard Smith2015-04-271-45/+35
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | right context. Previously we'd try to perform checks on the captures from the middle of parsing the lambda's body, at the point where we detected that a variable needed to be captured. This was wrong in a number of subtle ways. In PR23334, we couldn't correctly handle the list of potential odr-uses resulting from the capture, and our attempt to recover from that resulted in a use-after-free. We now defer building the initialization expression until we leave the lambda body and return to the enclosing context, where the initialization does the right thing. This patch only covers lambda-expressions, but we should apply the same change to blocks and captured statements too. llvm-svn: 235921

* Warn when jumping out of a __finally block via continue, break, return, __leave.Nico Weber2015-03-091-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Since continue, break, return are much more common than __finally, this tries to keep the work for continue, break, return O(1). Sema keeps a stack of active __finally scopes (to do this, ActOnSEHFinally() is split into ActOnStartSEHFinally() and ActOnFinishSEHFinally()), and the various jump statements then check if the current __finally scope (if present) is deeper than then destination scope of the jump. The same warning for goto statements is still missing. This is the moral equivalent of MSVC's C4532. llvm-svn: 231623

(That's gcc.gnu.org/PR56135, and affects any implicit lambda-capture of 'this' within a template.) r219977 was a re-commit of r217995, r218011, and r218053: r217995 was reverted in r218058 because it hit a rejects-valid bug in MSVC. (Incorrect overload resolution in the presence of using-declarations.) It was re-committed in r219977 with a workaround for the MSVC rejects-valid. r218011 was a workaround for an MSVC parser bug. * [c++1z] N4295: fold-expressions.Richard Smith2014-11-081-0/+143
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This is a new form of expression of the form: (expr op ... op expr) where one of the exprs is a parameter pack. It expands into (expr1 op (expr2onwards op ... op expr)) (and likewise if the pack is on the right). The non-pack operand can be omitted; in that case, an empty pack gives a fallback value or an error, depending on the operator. llvm-svn: 221573
