* RewriteObjC - silence static analyzer getAs<> null dereference warnings. NFCI.Simon Pilgrim2019-10-051-7/+8
| | | | | | The static analyzer is warning about potential null dereferences, but we should be able to use castAs<> directly and if not assert will fire for us. llvm-svn: 373829
* Properly handle instantiation-dependent array bounds.Richard Smith2019-10-041-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | We previously failed to treat an array with an instantiation-dependent but not value-dependent bound as being an instantiation-dependent type. We now track the array bound expression as part of a constant array type if it's an instantiation-dependent expression. llvm-svn: 373685
* Silence static analyzer getAs<RecordType> null dereference warnings. NFCI.Simon Pilgrim2019-10-031-1/+1
| | | | | | The static analyzer is warning about potential null dereferences, but in these cases we should be able to use castAs<RecordType> directly and if not assert will fire for us. llvm-svn: 373584
* [Clang] Migrate llvm::make_unique to std::make_uniqueJonas Devlieghere2019-08-141-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | Now that we've moved to C++14, we no longer need the llvm::make_unique implementation from STLExtras.h. This patch is a mechanical replacement of (hopefully) all the llvm::make_unique instances across the monorepo. Differential revision: https://reviews.llvm.org/D66259 llvm-svn: 368942
* Fix parameter name comments using clang-tidy. NFC.Rui Ueyama2019-07-161-5/+5
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch applies clang-tidy's bugprone-argument-comment tool to LLVM, clang and lld source trees. * Update the file headers across all of the LLVM projects in the monorepoChandler Carruth2019-01-191-4/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | to reflect the new license. We understand that people may be surprised that we're moving the header entirely to discuss the new license. We checked this carefully with the Foundation's lawyer and we believe this is the correct approach. Essentially, all code in the project is now made available by the LLVM project under our new license, so you will see that the license headers include that license only. Some of our contributors have contributed code under our old license, and accordingly, we have retained a copy of our old license notice in the top-level files in each project and repository. llvm-svn: 351636
* [AST] Store the callee and argument expressions of CallExpr in a trailing array.Bruno Ricci2018-12-211-20/+17
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Since CallExpr::setNumArgs has been removed, it is now possible to store the callee expression and the argument expressions of CallExpr in a trailing array. This saves one pointer per CallExpr, CXXOperatorCallExpr, CXXMemberCallExpr, CUDAKernelCallExpr and UserDefinedLiteral. Given that CallExpr is used as a base of the above classes we cannot use llvm::TrailingObjects. Instead we store the offset in bytes from the this pointer to the start of the trailing objects and manually do the casts + arithmetic. Some notes: 1.) I did not try to fit the number of arguments in the bit-fields of Stmt. This leaves some space for future additions and avoid the discussion about whether x bits are sufficient to hold the number of arguments. 2.) It would be perfectly possible to recompute the offset to the trailing objects before accessing the trailing objects. However the trailing objects are frequently accessed and benchmarks show that it is slightly faster to just load the offset from the bit-fields. Additionally, because of 1), we have plenty of space in the bit-fields of Stmt. Differential Revision: https://reviews.llvm.org/D55771 Reviewed By: rjmccall llvm-svn: 349910
* [AST][NFC] Pass the AST context to one of the ctor of DeclRefExpr.Bruno Ricci2018-12-211-47/+44
| | | | | | | | | All of the other constructors already take a reference to the AST context. This avoids calling Decl::getASTContext in most cases. Additionally move the definition of the constructor from Expr.h to Expr.cpp since it is calling DeclRefExpr::computeDependence. NFC. llvm-svn: 349901

| | | | | | | | | | We haven't supported compiling ObjC1 for a long time (and never will again), so there isn't any reason to keep these separate. This patch replaces LangOpts::ObjC1 and LangOpts::ObjC2 with LangOpts::ObjC. Differential revision: https://reviews.llvm.org/D53547 llvm-svn: 345637

* Remove redundant casts. NFCGeorge Burgess IV2018-03-011-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | So I wrote a clang-tidy check to lint out redundant `isa`, `cast`, and `dyn_cast`s for fun. This is a portion of what it found for clang; I plan to do similar cleanups in LLVM and other subprojects when I find time. Because of the volume of changes, I explicitly avoided making any change that wasn't highly local and obviously correct to me (e.g. we still have a number of foo(cast<Bar>(baz)) that I didn't touch, since overloading is a thing and the cast<Bar> did actually change the type -- just up the class hierarchy). I also tried to leave the types we were cast<>ing to somewhere nearby, in cases where it wasn't locally obvious what we were dealing with before. llvm-svn: 326416

* Encapsulate FPOptions and use it consistentlyAdam Nemet2017-03-271-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Sema holds the current FPOptions which is adjusted by 'pragma STDC FP_CONTRACT'. This then gets propagated into expression nodes as they are built. This encapsulates FPOptions so that this propagation happens opaquely rather than directly with the fp_contractable on/off bit. This allows controlled transitioning of fp_contractable to a ternary value (off, on, fast). It will also allow adding more fast-math flags later. This is toward moving fp-contraction=fast from an LLVM TargetOption to a FastMathFlag in order to fix PR25721. Differential Revision: https://reviews.llvm.org/D31166 llvm-svn: 298877

| | | | | | | | | | | | | | This changes the CompilerInstance::createOutputFile function to return a std::unique_ptr<llvm::raw_ostream>, rather than an llvm::raw_ostream implicitly owned by the CompilerInstance. The motivation for this change is to allow BackendConsumer to be a client of interfaces such as D20268 which take ownership of the output stream. * [OPENMP] Bugfix for processing of global variables in OpenMP regions.Alexey Bataev2014-12-161-14/+11
| | | | | | | | Currently, if global variable is marked as a private OpenMP variable, the compiler crashes in debug version or generates incorrect code in release version. It happens because in the OpenMP region the original global variable is used instead of the generated private copy. It happens because currently globals variables are not captured in the OpenMP region. This patch adds capturing of global variables iff private copy of the global variable must be used in the OpenMP region. Differential Revision: http://reviews.llvm.org/D6259 llvm-svn: 224323
