* network-manager: Don't build Qt example programsVicente Olivert Riera2014-04-041-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | The purpose of "--enable-qt" option is not to build NetworkManager with Qt support. It's name can be a bit confusing. The real purpose of this option is to build Qt example programs, so we disable it as we also disable the tests and documentation in the target. * udev: convert to virtual packageeric.le.bihan.dev@free.fr2014-02-121-5/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch converts udev to a virtual package. For the moment, there is only one provider for the udev features: eudev. Packages meant to provide udev-like features must select the symbol BR2_PACKAGE_HAS_UDEV. Packages depending on BR2_ROOTFS_DEVICE_CREATION_DYNAMIC_UDEV or BR2_PACKAGE_UDEV have been converted to use the new symbol. * Config.in files: add missing dependencies to toolchain option commentsThomas De Schampheleire2013-11-101-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | When a package A depends on config option B and toolchain option C, then the comment that is given when C is not fulfilled should also depend on B. For example: config BR2_PACKAGE_A depends on BR2_B depends on BR2_LARGEFILE depends on BR2_WCHAR comment "A needs a toolchain w/ largefile, wchar" depends on !BR2_LARGEFILE || !BR2_WCHAR This comment should actually be: comment "A needs a toolchain w/ largefile, wchar" depends on BR2_B depends on !BR2_LARGEFILE || !BR2_WCHAR or if possible (typically when B is a package config option declared in that same Config.in file): if BR2_B comment "A needs a toolchain w/ largefile, wchar" depends on !BR2_LARGEFILE || !BR2_WCHAR [other config options depending on B] endif Otherwise, the comment would be visible even though the other dependencies are not met. This patch adds such missing dependencies, and changes existing such dependencies from depends on BR2_BASE_DEP && !BR2_TOOLCHAIN_USES_GLIBC to depends on BR2_BASE_DEP depends on !BR2_TOOLCHAIN_USES_GLIBC so that (positive) base dependencies are separate from the (negative) toolchain dependencies. This strategy makes it easier to write such comments (because one can simply copy the base dependency from the actual package config option), but also avoids complex and long boolean expressions. * libglib2: needs threadsSpenser Gilliland2013-07-271-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | This commit adds a dependency of the libglib2 package on thread support in the toolchain, since upstream libglib2 doesn't build without thread support. The commit is rather large as it involves propagating the dependency on thread support to all reverse dependencies of the libglib2 package. [Thomas: squash all patches into one, make a few minor fixes, the most important one being to not add comments about MMU requirement when a package doesn't work on !MMU platforms.] Signed-off-by: Spenser Gilliland <spenser@gillilanding.com>

* Introduce BR2_TOOLCHAIN_USES_{UCLIBC, GLIBC}Thomas Petazzoni2013-07-041-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Currently, when we need to do a conditional on the type of C library used, we need to take into account the three toolchain backends. As we are going to add eglibc support to the Buildroot toolchain backend, it would become even uglier, so this patch introduces two new hidden options: BR2_TOOLCHAIN_USES_UCLIBC and BR2_TOOLCHAIN_USES_GLIBC, that exist regardless of the toolchain backend. The entire Buildroot code base is converted to use those options. Note that we have intentionally created only one option (BR2_TOOLCHAIN_USES_GLIBC) for both glibc and eglibc, since they are essentially the same, as far as Buildroot is concerned. * network-manager: bump to 0.9.8.0Thomas Petazzoni2013-05-292-51/+13
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | This upstream version (the latest available at the time of this writing) contains http://cgit.freedesktop.org/NetworkManager/NetworkManager/commit/?id=6b64e4db2f3c9cfc0e0e240cf0bc58f3b3e90c1f which fixes a build issue of network-manager against recent kernel headers. * dbus: uses fork(), requires MMUThomas Petazzoni2012-11-171-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | In order to solve http://autobuild.buildroot.org/results/34f6843137efda20626af72714c110280ec577d7/build-end.log, this patch makes the D-Bus package as well as all the packages that select the D-Bus package 'depends on BR2_USE_MMU'. In addition, for the specific case of gvfs, the missing BR2_TOOLCHAIN_HAS_THREADS dependency is added (threads are required by D-Bus, so they are also required by gvfs which selects D-Bus). * dbus: requires thread supportThomas Petazzoni2012-07-251-3/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | As can be seen on the build result at http://autobuild.buildroot.org/results/20f1078ef7dc5f187b04c63ef70e8b43acf9bb3a/build-end.log, D-Bus requires thread support in the toolchain. * Add package for Gnome NetworkManagerDaniel Mack2012-01-024-0/+157
Even though it's most commonly used on desktops, this piece of software also works well on embedded devices. The package file only resolved mandatory dependencies. Things like iptables and dnsmasq are only required if 'shared' connections are used, and have hence not been made hard prerequisites. There are probably too many i18n related files installed to the target. That might need some more tweaking.
